Ubisoft has been very keen to remind everyone that Assassin's Creed Mirage is, first and foremost, a stealth action game. This is instead of it following the open world RPG blueprint of the series' most recent outings, and the title's latest promotional video is perhaps a perfect example of what Basim's adventure through Baghdad is all about.
Clocking in at over seven minutes, the footage breaks down every aspect of Mirage's stealth systems. It covers the art of staying hidden, the numerous tools Basim has at his disposal — including throwing knives, smoke bombs, and traps — and even explains the notoriety system. Yep, you'll be ripping down wanted posters again!
What do you think of Assassin's Creed Mirage and its return to stealth-based gameplay? Stay one step ahead in the comments section below.

Definitely looking forward to playing this. Will get Ubisoft+ for a month or two on Xbox to play this and The Crew Motorfest.
Although I have loved the big open worlds in the last three Assassin's Creed games (Origins Odyssey, Valhalla), it will be nice to play a smaller game more focused on stealth.
I like the look of this. Basim was a highlight of Valhalla even if spoilery spoilers mean this will be rather different.
Can't wait till the 5th as assassins creed is probably my favourite franchise
I’d rather have the reviews than another trailer, but I’ve preordered it, so it’s all just window dressing for me either way!
@somnambulance Think the reviews will only come out on the 4th
Why do UBI always seem to employ the most lifeless, emotion-free voiceovers for the trailers, this one sounds like a depressed Alexa.. anyways very much looking forward to this on Thursday, hopefully a nice pallette cleanser for the series after the painful slog of Valhalla.
While this does seem a return to form, I feel like it would be cooler if Ubi took a page from Hitman. Replayable missions where you try to find new and creative ways to off your targets. It can distinguish itself with it's usual gameplay but really, just making sandbox stages that you can explore and find new secrets in even after hours of gameplay...that sounds like the perfect formula fo assassin's Creed going forward.
Getting this Thursday, but not sure if I’ll play it immediately.
@nessisonett I wonder if the game will end with the beginning of said spoiler. I imagine the nightmares mentioned are the early warning signs.
I keep buying these and telling myself I'm going to beat them. I still believe.
@ATaco That's a great idea. Would ubi leave the big open world format? Maybe they could explore with a spin odd?
@MidnightDragonDX It’s interesting cause an opportunity to play Valhalla’s dream sequence memory things but from another viewpoint would be cool, but this being a straightforward game, I’m also kind of glad they didn’t?
Excited to play this, and also excited I have avoided all videos on it so I come in fresh. Although I just started diving deep into Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty, which seems amazing so far, so may have to wait a little.
After the bloat of Valhalla, the time was right to switch it up some. Hopefully Mirage delivers.
Really looking forward to this. Gonna keep me busy for a few days
Usually this would be a day 1 purchase for me, but I’m currently knee deep in Cyberpunk 2077 and what with Spider-Man 2 just a few weeks away I’m afraid AC Mirage will have to wait. Modern day problems 😂
N.i.c.e. stealth gameplay video.i enjoy both older assassins creed games and the rpgs assassins creed games.so its all good.word up son
Can't wait for this. I miss the smaller AC titles and the perfect length whilst waiting for Spiderman. Managed to get it for £25 too
Anybody knows when reviews will be allowed to go live?
Not gonna lie, I'm still burnt out on Assassin's Creed as a result of Odyssey and especially Valhalla.
I haven't played an Assassin's Creed title upon release since Syndicate. I like the look of this. Not an immediate day one but I plan on getting it sooner rather than later.
@Nightcrawler71 yeah Cyberpunk finally sunk its Mantis Blades in me with the update and expansion and I still have Baldur's Gate 3... I think I'm good until next year even though there are loads of good looking titles coming out... I'll stick a few on my crimbo wishlist but otherwise I'll be picking up a lot during the early '24 sales.
@Mintie I’ve still yet to play BG3 too. Just don’t have time. I would get it for Christmas but alas there’s no physical version 🙄
I have this preordered, looking forward to a more compact AC experience than the last few entries. Now all I need to do is tear myself away from three parallel Baldur's Gate playthroughs...
Looks a little like Ghost of Tsushima and that's a good thing. Not as good looking but it looks like fun I hope it won't have the same boring filler missions.
@KAIRU Same here I loved the game if would have cut out 50% of the filler missions and put the Jack the Ripper DLC in the main game it would have fantastic.
