Dragon Ball XenoVerse 2 is getting yet another major update on the 12th October — and as if that wasn't enough, Bandai Namco has announced that a PS5 version will release in 2024. If you can believe it, it's actually the game's 7th anniversary, and to say support for XenoVerse 2 has been impressive would be a serious understatement.
Launching all the way back in 2016 for PS4, this sequel managed to improve upon just about everything that the original Dragon Ball XenoVerse got right. Probably best described as a mission-based action RPG, the game revolves around your own custom character, who can be levelled up and kitted out with a range of iconic attacks from the Dragon Ball universe.
But again, the years of post-release support has been crazy. The title's enjoyed numerous major updates, regular live events, a broad range of paid DLC, and much more. There's still room for another roadmap, though!

I haven't touched the game since beating it back around release.
If there ever is a complete edition that will release 15 years from now, I'll definitely get it to give all of the extra content a try.
That’s crazy exciting… This is how you do a live service game right.
Can’t believe a game from 2016 still has an update road map into 2024. Can’t believe there’s enough community support for the game to still be doing this, but awesome to see a game have this much success..
I bought this game ages ago and never played it. Guess I'm playing on PS5!
Insane! can they at least update the graphics a bit so it doesn't look like a PS3 game? Also it does have the title for the most fighter packed roster of any Dragon Ball game ever (passing Tenkaichi 3) but that's assuming you opened your entire wallet and bank account
I would buy physical complete edition with everything on the disc.
Finished the main campaign and dropped it soon after. Fun game but the insane difficulty spikes with certain side content and especially having to do optimal combos with the analog stick put me off. I'd rather see a new dragon ball game, but cool for the fans I guess.
I'll give Bamco credit for supporting XV2 for as long as they have.
That said, at some point in the future they need to move on and let it die, that way we can see the potential light for XV3 (although even that is still very far off since Tenakichi is coming back and all).
I wonder if Tenkachi 4 is actually coming next year.
just make a third already
@Arisen we’re getting a new BT…we don’t need another Xenoverse right now
