Metal Bringer was first announced for PC a couple of months ago, and now it's been confirmed for a PS5 release as well. This is an undeniably cool looking action title that involves mechs, increasingly crazy weaponry, and roguelite elements. It's also the spiritual successor to Samurai Bringer — a really fun little game that we reviewed back in 2022.
Basically, you'll be taking control of 'Labor' — customisable androids — and you'll use them to blast through countless enemies across randomised stages. When the going gets tough, you'll be able to hop aboard hulking mechs in order to dish out even more carnage — and the more that you play and progress, the stronger your arsenal will become for future runs.

Metal Bringer's targeting a 2024 launch on PS5, but will you be jumping into the pilot's seat? Lock and load in the comments section below.

I wanted to like Samurai Bringer so much, but it was so needlessly complex and punishing. Hopefully this fairs better.
what is this grAPHICAL STYLE AND HOLY CRAP THIS LOOKS GOOD!!
I think this nails a delicious balance between PS1/DS but also current gen. Looks like Pokémon on DS but also sharper and can provide more sprites on screen and be more fluid. Plus, those reflections... I love it. This is as striking as Square's Octopath-style engine.. really neat stuff here!
YUS! I was waiting for a console confirm. I loved samurai bringer and this looks even better
