PlayStation has been synonymous with the UEFA Champions League for decades now, and anyone who’s watched the elite European club football competition will have seen banners for Sony’s various systems over the years. As part of its collaboration with the prestigious event, the platform holder has created a glamorous new ident, which shows some of the brand’s biggest stars getting involved in the action.
The 30-second spot, which will air between commercial breaks during games, shows Joel and Ellie riding a horse out onto the field, Astro Bot catching the coin toss, Peter Parker and Miles Morales repairing a giant LCD screen, and Kratos blowing into his vuvuzela. It’s a pretty fun commercial overall, which highlights just how recognisable some of Sony’s characters have become over the past few years.

So cool to see Astro represented in this ad ^__^. Little sad that Aloy wasn't in this one 😢
I hope they update this when they fully hype Wolverine, and have him accidentally pop the ball...
But then he'd obviously be sad and have to go and smash up the surrounding streets in a big rage, which might not be what uefa want to see, as it's too much like real life 😬
@Keyblade-Dan this exactly what is was thinking 😂
Loved this, so cool seeing Astro as well, will pre-order his next game if it ever comes!
Never thought I'd see Ellie handling balls.
They should have used Joel to advertise the Ryder Cup. He got beaten at golf just like the US team.
This is one of the things that PlayStation as a brand has maintained and Xbox has lost, memorable characters.
You ask me for Xbox mascots and I can only think of Master Chief and Marcus Fenix (who hasn't been in a game for a little while now).
@LordVile Hopefully this will mean a new astro game coming soon?
@Futureshark
I hope Phil Spencer doesn't read your comment. If he does, he'll go buy some mascots with daddy Nadella's money.
This is a fun commercial. It reminds me of the excellent For Michael ads.
