A new report from reliable PS Plus leaker billbil-kun says Sony will launch its new PS5 hardware model first in a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 bundle on 8th November 2023. The new console will then be available standalone two days later on 10th November 2023, it's suggested. Sony has only publicly confirmed the updated system will release in November.
The Marvel's Spider-Man 2 bundle will apparently cost $559.99, presumably including a digital code for use on the PS Store along with the slimmer model boasting a disc drive. Sony will also release a digital-only version of the updated hardware which ships with the option of attaching a disc drive later on. This makes it $50 / £90 cheaper.
Set to be 30 per cent smaller than the original model, and either 18 per cent or 24 per cent lighter, the internal SSD will be upgraded to 1TB. Once stock of the original PS5 has been sold through, this slimmer model will become the default option. Sony has said it'll start shipping in November across the USA, with other territories handed stock in the coming months.

Hmm, so to be guaranteed the new model, you'll probably have to order the bundle
Launching the console with a Spider-Man 2 bundle is a smart move on their part.
I am excited for my collectors edition of that game to arrive tomorrow. Woot!!!
Boosting those Spider-Man 2 numbers. Going to be record sales.
Can I see a side by side comparison?
The version with the disc drive attached looks ugly as hell to me.
@LifeGirl yet it’s funny how people complained about consoles being ‘black boxes’ back in the day.
@Powerplay94 yeah I agree, really think they should have done it earlier with ratchet and returnal to help bring those game stona bigger audience. I don't think Nintendo really does it with. NEw releases anymore, mainly just Mario kart
@Americansamurai1 They had an amazing Switch edition for Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Absolutely beautiful.
@Whately86 did it come with a copy of the game?
@Pranwell That's why you turn it 30 degrees.
I prefer the White PS5 Slim bundle without any games attached on bundle.
It'll probably look dope in black. As all PlayStation's do. Hopefully PS6 goes back to PS4 or PS3 colour theming.
@Americansamurai1 I believe so. My friend bought it to the get the game. He already had a switch but this one was thr oled one I think
