SpellForce: Conquest of Eo is a turn-based strategy game with light RPG and 4X elements, and it's been announced for a PS5 launch. March to battle from 7th November in perfectly ordered ranks, wielding arcane powers like lesser beings would wield cooking utensils.
In the realm of something like Civilization VI, SpellForce has a greater focus on its RPG aspects. You play as an aspiring wizard, garnering power by summoning fantastical minions and unearthing lost knowledge in the randomly generated overworld. Combat plays out on smaller tactical maps, where hosts of beasts and soldiers clash in epic encounters.
It was released back in February on Steam, where it currently enjoys Very Positive reviews. As ever, provided the control scheme translates well (being turn-based, it should), strategy fans could have another blissful timesink on their hands.
