Just when you thought Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth couldn't get any more mental, RGG Studio unveils 'Happy Resort Dondoko Island'. This ludicrously in-depth side activity, which basically looks like a game in itself, sees protagonist Ichiban ride a dolphin (!) to an idyllic island, which he's then tasked with transforming into a gorgeous resort.
You'll collect materials, go fishing, and catch bugs, all while building holiday homes for interested parties. It's basically Animal Crossing only somehow even more insane, and you really need to watch the above trailer to appreciate where our disbelief is coming from.
What do you make of this madness? Just how many activities are stuffed into Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth? And how will we ever have time to play through all of them? Piece your brain back together in the comments section below.

I’ve always said RGG could make a game full of mini-games they’ve created. I love their creative & whacky minds
God this looks so good!
I could legit cry!
Yakuza series is always full of cheesy parodies lol
Game of the Year. Bloomin' love Yakuza / Like a Dragon
I cannot adequately describe the joy I feel watching Like a Dragon x Animal Crossing become a real thing.
I swear that Green Thing was on WeatherNews live once in the early days I remember Ayaka laughing because their green screen made the mascot invisible 😂
This is so Day 1.
I really need it to run on my Steamdeck. This insanity would be perfect at the hotel after an awful workday on the road 🤣
I have a feeling getting 1000 gs in this one is not going to be a walk in the park….
I love these games. You can just tell how much fun they all had making them. They are bat **it crazy in the best way possible.
OK, this looks absolutely brilliant😂.
My God. This game is going to be absolutely brilliant!
LaD x AC? Sign me up!😂👍
Every Japanese game ever created just feels like the creators were on mushrooms......
Just don't be adding the English dub after launch like Gaiden, Who know's how long we'll have to wait for that dub.
Like a Dragon was one of my fave games of all time, and this might top it!
Hype just quadrupled tbh
This'll be the new Ichiban Confectionary story in this game.
What if all the mini games are this in-depth? Could be that you’re able to take an active part in the real estate business.
@Tharsman has it ever been lol?
This is insanity and I love it lol
This is fantastic! I can’t wait to play it!
I think my head just exploded...
But seriously Sega...we have seen enough let's leave the rest as a surprise.
Always struggled to get into the series, but have always been mildly curious as well. Perhaps it is time…
Hmmm, I would like to get a little lost in this game, but this year just had too many games I prefer over this. Gotta clean up those first. Ah, but next year seems to be packed too...Guess it's a nice problem to have^^
I’m hyped for this game and I haven’t even played any of the series! It just looks so fun. I’m gonna start 7 when I’m done with my current game
Absolutely...mentally...marvelous
@Kyushutrail did you not play like a dragon, its completely different to any other yakuza game.
@somnambulance like a dragon is completely different to your standard yakuza game.
Looks cool but what I really want is from them to bring back the taxi minigame from Yakuza 5
@Cherip-the-Ripper I didn’t find it hard on Yakuza 7 (like a dragon… these titles are so confusing…) but I dare bet they will tie up a lot of achievements behind grinding on this mini-game.
I think its cool that they added this, but it's not something I'll invest my time in. Unless I'm forced to do it, then I guess I will do it. I liked the farming simulator in ishin. I miss the table tennis from Yakuza 4.
If they announced this April 1st I would never have believed it.
Looks incredible. My favourite thing to do with the Like A Dragon / Yakuza games since the release of the PS5 is to acheive the platinum for the PS5 version then play the PS4 version and do the same from scratch. I very much look forward to doing this with Infinite Wealth.
