Rocksteady appears ready to allow Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League back into the public conscience as it has announced the first instalment in a video series all about the upcoming PS5 game. Set to debut this Wednesday, the initial episode will cover the story and gameplay of the title slated for release on 2nd February 2024.
"Join us this Wednesday for the first episode of our brand new series, Suicide Squad Insider," the game's official Twitter account has posted. "In episode one, Rocksteady will unpack the story and gameplay of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League." A 20-second video accompanies the text, revealing quick glimpses at new gameplay. It debuts on Wednesday at 10am PST / 6pm GMT.
Previously scheduled to release for PS5 in May, the game was delayed following an infamous State of Play presentation that revealed the experience's live-service and gear score elements to the world. This didn't go down very well with the hardcore gaming community, and so Rocksteady pushed the title back to next year. Despite the delay, it's expected the Games as a Service mechanics remain in the 2024 product.

Can't wait for another delay after a second poor showing!
It needed five years and a complete revamp for me to even BOTHER to watch this.
Also, rumour has it there’s a killer trailer coming in December of a highly anticipated game…. Wonder which trailer does best?
I just finished and really enjoyed Gotham Knights. This just doesn’t appeal and this is actually Rocksteady.
I'll always love Rocksteady for giving us an incredible Batman series but man...I'll watch it...but more out of morbid curiosity than interest.
Well at least it won't have to try hard to be better than "Gotham Knights" - the meh'est game that ever meh'ed.
if it had launched this year it would at least have had a shot at not being the worst game of the year due to Gollum and King Kong
Maybe the orbs will be blue now
I only want to play the story. Hope for bad review scores because of gaas elements so that I can play it sooner with big discount.
No, no thank you.
As a Rocksteady fan I'll watch but man I don't have a single inch of hype towards the Suicide Squad game, I need to see something other than lots of jumping and purple orbs
Nobody wants this live service game
No thanks I’ll pass
Just like I guessed, WB has left what they hope will be enough time passed between the disastrous State of Play trailer and now. They’re gonna try to do what Cyberpunk 2077 did before its launch, trying to get as much hyped-up marketing out as possible to try to convince people that this game is gonna be good.
Unlike Cyberpunk though, nobody is anticipating the release of this game. But much like Cyberpunk, the game is gonna disappoint. And I don’t think enough people will buy it to justify overhauling the game in three years time. It’s gonna go the same as Square’s Avengers game.
This is going to be another hybrid mess.... Built as something nobody ever asked for ...then tried to change it far to late into the development
Such a shame when you have been waiting so long for there next game...for it to be a live service ...just wanted another story driven game
RIP rocksteady.
I can't say there's no chance, but it looked pretty bad.
"Public conscience"?!
This has to be the longest we’ve waited for a PS2 game. Maybe it’ll surprise me, but the gameplay was so uninspired before. I just wish they’d gone down the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ route and set up a stellar single player campaign, maybe with jump-in co-op. But maybe they have, and revamped it all!
