Believe it or not, the mostly forgotten PS5, PS4 multiplayer Wumpa Fruit collecting game Crash Team Rumble is closing in on its third season of content, and the big thing studio Toys for Bob has to talk about this time is Spyro the Dragon becoming a playable character. Coming on 7th December 2023, the fan-favourite character from the PS1 days headlines the drop titled All Fired Up.
No other details have been shared, but if the title's second season is anything to go by, All Fired Up will probably contain a new mode, maps, powers, further seasonal events, and another 100-tier premium Battle Pass to work through. You'll have to pay for the latter, but everything else should arrive free of charge.
Crash Team Rumble hasn't exactly lit the online multiplayer space on fire since its PS5, PS4 launch in June, and player population was already low shortly after release. We found the collecting and brawling experience to be a fun one, though, awarding it a 7/10 score in our Crash Team Rumble PS5 review. "Addictive just enough to look past the lack of local play and potentially long load times, Crash Team Rumble is worth trying — even if you wish Crash would just stick to what he's known best for: platforming," we concluded.
Will you return to Crash Team Rumble and give Spyro the Dragon a go next month? Let us know in the comments below.

I burned out on this early into season 2, I gave it a pretty fair shot. Don't see myself getting back into it because I'm far more busy now, and there's higher priorities in terms of games. Spyro 4 please.
I'm surprised this game is still going, the games population must be teetering in the 100's for active online at a time. Even at launch it was destined to fail, especially after this.

Ah yes, the legendary Xbox mascots Crash and Spyro
Cool to see Spyro again but I really wish he would get a new game.
Shocking that they haven't shut the game down yet, I give them a few months till at least Microsoft notices they exist and sees that precious resources are being pumped directly into a black hole
We need more online multiplayer games like this. Offline single player experiences are two thousand and late.
Really hope they are working on a Crash 5 and Spyro 4. I played the beta for Team Rumble and it wasn’t my cup of tea.

Always nice seeing Spyro.
Always sad seeing Spyro NOT in a new Spyro game...
we got this instead of a crash bash remaster . the ps5 could’ve really had its own mario party, instead of whatever this embarrassment is
Stop stop he's already dead!
