Tekken 8 will enjoy a major information blowout this weekend, Bandai Namco has confirmed. The publisher will be hosting the 'Evo Tekken 8 Showcase' on Sunday the 12th November at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT / 1am GMT / 2am CET.
The event promises Tekken 8's first ever pro player invitational tournament — with former Evo champions taking part — a no doubt in-depth 'Tekken Talk' with project leads Katsuhiro Harada, Michael Murray, and Kohei Ikeda, and the game's final character reveal.
With Tekken 8 releasing in just over two months, we reckon this showcase will be well worth watching. But if you do happen to miss it, we will of course be covering all of the relevant news here on the site.
Will you be tuning in to this Tekken 8 event? Are you looking forward to the game's full release in January? Don't you dare drop your combo in the comments section below.

I know a lot of the returning characters will be reusing a lot of moves and stuff but a 32 character base roster is pretty damn impressive. Always loved Tekken and i'm thinking T8 will be a day 1 buy, might even use Xmas money for it.
so far it’s lookin like T8>SF6>>>>>>>>>>>>>>MK1
Damn. 32 characters. That's a lot. I wouldn't know who to play as.
I feel for the SF6 is the greatest thing ever. 10/10 reviews and bought it and yes i like it and it’s very good. I have it as a 8/10 and the online infrastructure the game is on is straight trash. But the gameplay is of course good. But i am wishing i wouldn’t have gotten it and just waited for MK1, SF6 and T8 to be all out and wait to see which one I cared more for. I am leaning towards thinking T8 is going to be the better game.
@nomither6 no sf6 is better than tekken 8 Tekken 8 netcode is bad.
@Jay767 t8 isnt out yet, & sf6 roster is straight up garbage. arguably the worst base roster since sf3
@nomither6 that’s cap sf6 roster, fresh but also familiar unlike tekken 8 roster which is tekken 7.5 returning characters in tekken 8 even have mostly the same animations from previous games.
@nomither6 I played all three of betas and the netcode wasn’t good especially against Wi-Fi players. Maximilian even said the netcode wasn’t good in the recent beta in one of his videos.
@Jay767 the "fresh" characters are lame as hell and cringe & nobody definitely cares about "familiar" - blanka/honda/dhalism are all wasted slots that are never used in any street fighter, they keep them around just because they were some of the first characters and nothing else, so were forced to have these unappealing characters & guile is middle of the road and arguably a wasted slot too.
if tekken 8 is dissapointing then im not surprised then because ever since the ps3 era ended fighting games just got mediocre afterwards.
@Jay767 also id say tekken 8 is playing it safe which is a good thing since mk1/sf6 try to reinvent the wheel to mixed reception.
i honestly hate how sf changes so much with each new game including how characters play, juri hasnt had her original playstyle since her inception which was her best playstyle.
@nomither6 Blanka Honda dhalism are iconic you sound like super casual who just trying fighting games for first time. the ps3 gen was great for fighting games like sf4 and mk9 help bring fighting back.
@Jay767 i sound like a casual because i dont have an emotional attachment to old characters because of some nostalgia bullsh**?
whatever dude, this is why the FGC is garbage. yall make everything personal because opinions is something u cant take.
@nomither6 you clueless tekken not charging is reason it’s boring to a lot of people and not as popular as street fighter at tournaments.
Mockujin or I riot
