Free Avatars, PS Stars Points, PS5 to Win in PS Plus Season of Play

Strange that they’re advertising the 50 Stars points for playing a Plus Essential game, since they’ve been doing that every month since Stars began. That, and 50 points is worth about 20 cents. Whatever it takes to increase engagement, I guess. 🤷‍♂️

Those PS Stars are nothing unusual? We have those each month for the Plus games?

I always redeem what I can on ps stars but what annoys me is the monthly picks which give you extra points from buying one of a selection of games but gives you nothing if you’ve already bought one of them. That being said I’ve earned around £40 in store credit back so can’t complain too much seeing as it’s free credit for doing what I normally do

I like these kinds of events. I hope PlayStation does them more.

Themes for ps5 ever coming though ?

I have been using PS Rewards in the app, sort of occasionally, I’ve been at the end of level 3 but it doesn’t seem to want to go up to 4, but I still find the entire thing kind of awkward. Some the rewards I seem to just get, some I have to click on to activate first. Some seem to give us a worthless virtual nick nack with no place to display it and others give us gold points or whatever the currency is. I have about 513 of those, another 1,000 and I can get a $5 PS reward, I think, b/c of course 1,500 points gets you 500 cents, makes perfect sense. 🤪

@rjejr I also find it odd that some are automatic and others are not. I think, but not 100% sure, that the automatic ones are the ones that don’t give you coins. They force you to start ones that actually give you value.

@fuzzymonkeyfunk It annoys me as well because it’s usually after the game releases that they put it in the games to buy for points. They’re obviously doing it on purpose, I just don’t like the tactic.

I suppose that makes sense. I'll probably just ignore it all soon, like the over 1,200 platinum coins I've lost w/ Nintendo My Rewards. I do spend the gold coins on the eShop for dlc but the plats just vanish. 🤷‍♂️

Ahhh, that explains it. Well I'm probably never getting to tier 4 then, I just keep borrowing games from the library. 😂

Avatars that can't be used unless you go though a ton of bs on the app...PS5 doesn't allow you to chose Avatars...so it's just a flipping waste of space

@Impossibilium Since Playstation Star launched I've cashed in 9 $5 PSN gift cards. I just wish they would add the Playstation Stars display case to our Playstation Profile pages.
