There are definitely a few games that are nigh invisible in certain circles, but are secretly absolutely huge — we can certainly count Human: Fall Flat in that camp. Coming to PS4 in 2017 and available physically and digitally, the physics-based platformer has now reached an incredible sales milestone, having just surpassed 50 million shipped copies globally.
Publisher Curve Games announced the figure in a press release today. "The support from our community is incredible, we never dreamt we would have 50 million people playing Human Fall Flat," said Sitara Shefta, studio head of developer No Brakes Games. "Our community continues to inspire us, and we can’t wait to see more of the amazing content they create."
To celebrate the milestone, the team has launched a competition involving the game's Workshop mode. Fans are encouraged to create original levels based on certain themes, and the winner will walk away with $10,000, as well as their stage being added officially to the game on all platforms.
We knew Human: Fall Flat was popular, but didn't realise it was 50-million-copies-sold popular. There's little wonder there's a sequel on the way, this time published by Devolver Digital. Are you a fan of this title? Tell us in the comments section below.

I saw this recently; it’s the 17th best selling game of all time. What the flip! I play it on Gamepass with 2 friends but the free level updates keep us coming back for a laugh every few months.
And the developers are from a small country Lithuania!
What? I played this for about 5 minutes on game pass and fell off. Am I missing something?
Does that count free downloads from plus and game pass?
Probably the most famous Lithuanian game developers. Tomas really did an amazing feast , love this game to pieces. It's a truly amazing co-op experience. I didn't know they now have second office in Tenerife tho.
I’ve been playing this in split screen co-op recently and it’s such a laugh.
@themightyant yes. Friends to play with
Does this count gamepass people who played for 10 minutes or actual copies sold?
I don’t know how I haven’t heard of a game that’s sold this well.
Apparently it was really big in China during the lockdown
Lowkey one of my favorite platinum experiences
@Bamila lol. Where do you find them?
@Savage_Joe indie doesn't mean small. It means independent. Independent from a big publisher. If they become a big publisher then they may no longer be referred to as an indie dev
@Jaz007 Why would they care as long as they the money to fund their next game?
