Atlus has revealed that the Persona 5 series, comprised of the 2016 original, the expanded Persona 5 Royal, the rhythm action game Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight, hack and slash Persona 5 Strikers, and the strategic spin-off Persona 5 Tactica, have together amassed a combined 10 million copies sold. That's a pretty impressive feat, even if a significant number of sales are undoubtedly due to the publisher's less-than-ideal business practices.
Atlus released a live-action trailer featuring official Persona brand ambassadors Haruna Kawaguchi and Jun Shison to celebrate. Royal is currently on sale at a steep 50% discount in select markets until 21st December. If you've been holding off on playing one of the finest modern JRPGs on the market, now might be the right time to see what all the fuss is about.

How many times have you purchased Persona 5? Is this the last we see of Joker and friends, or do you think Atlus has further mischief in mind for the Phantom Thieves? Infiltrate the Palace that exists in the comments section below.

Incoming announcement for Persona 5 Royal: Rethroned, featuring playable doctors appointments.
Pretty impressive number considering most P5 fans haven't played a single Persona game.
@JeongersGaming Stylishness of Persona 5 and its black and red art style was what got me to buy it. I never even enjoyed or understood the appeal of turn based games until I played it.
Oh that promo video is cruel how it has a part with "PERSONA IS" in black text on a red background, and it having nothing to do with P2 Innocent Sin.
Persona 5 is delightful! The Royal version is its best form, but it is lame Atlus/Sega made fans buy the game again instead of providing an upgrade.
@Khayl is Persona 5 Strikers also included? That's a fun game.

I know it's meant to be an amazing game, but I simply refuse to buy anything by Atlus. Their business practices are blatantly anti-consumer. It's a shame, but I'm not giving them a penny.
@TheCollector316 Indeed, it is! I just managed to miss including it. Updated
I'm thinking it's done outside of maybe one more dance/arena battler. Playing through Tactica now, beaten P5 orig, P5 Royale (PS4 & PS5), Strikers, read the manga and watched the Anime. Can't get enough BUT sadly it feels like it's time
So, we'll get the Persona 6 on 2032?
Good congratulations please don't make another p5 game I am very exhausted after 5 games please go on to persona 6
It's less impressive when you add up all the games which are Persona 5, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 5 Dancing, Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 5 Tactica. Then take into account that they are on Xbox one/series, PlayStation 4/5, Nintendo Switch and PC. So no wonder it's the best selling Persona series when they have milked the life out of it and put onto multiple platforms.
Don't forget people, it's coming to mobile very soon as well.
@UltimateOtaku91
Persona 5 also came out on PS3!!
I think it's one of the few games that's straddled 3 console generations!
@RainbowGazelle Your loss. I'm sure they are not crying in their offices bc you don't buy their game lol
Time for Persona 6. Let's just skip the first edition and get straight to the Golden/Royal game
@Dany4k I'm happy I'm not contributing to a company with terrible ethics. No loss at all.
Persona 5 royal edition is a excellent game.but lets move on to persona 6.word up son
This is great for the series!
But yeah they did force us to buy P5 2 times and the Xbox branding on the trailers of new Persona releases irks me: it’s not an exclusive and it’s not a brand that built Xbox identity , it’s just identity theft!
Time for a change of heart, Atlus!
On average, each Persona 5 game sold 2M copies. That's not bad, but also less than I expected.
Played a few on Vita, 5 on four, strikers was a plus game and bought Royal on PS5. Strange but good games.
@TheCollector316 Take into consideration the spinoffs tend to sell considerably less. Dancing in particular was a bit of a flop. Half of this number is probably Royal alone.
