Pikmin 4 for all of them
Gollum
Game Of The Year
The only place on the internet where Spider-Man 2 will actually win awards.
I'm always a little sad that I can't join in on those discussions and votes because I simply don't get around to most games at least a couple of years late.
Ask me again in 5 years and maybe I'll have some meaningful contributions. Maybe.
PSVR2 game of the year is Gran Turismo 7 and by some distance (how is GT7 not even an option?). I've recently jumped back into VR now that I have space for it and GT7 in VR with a wheel is a mind blowing experience.
Best Expansion would be Phantom Liberty
Best Story for me was Like A Dragon Gaiden
Most anticipated for 2024 is Like A Dragon Infinite Wealth
PS5 GOTY Resident Evil 4
Best Studio is Capcom for RE4, Street Fighter 6 and RE4 VR
@truerbluer I've never seen so much unnecessary hatred for a genuinely good game than with Spiderman 2.
PS5 GOTY 2023 for me =
Bluey
I love to play peaceful and educating kids games. ☺

Same here, apart from I’d put Resi4 VR ahead of GT7 even at this early stage. Also I don’t play expansions so can’t comment on that, but otherwise I agree wholeheartedly.
@Ainu20 Same. This year I got to play a few on other platforms but none on Playstation. Plan on tackling Baldurs Gate 3 in the new year sometime but that's too late for any GOTY chats sadly.
@thefourfoldroot1 I just started RE4VR and it is pretty incredible, I just need to get my tiny brain to remember how to reload guns whilst I'm being chased by people with chainsaws. I somehow got through that opening village section through a combination of luck and blind panic 😂
@carlos82
lol, I just stick to the handgun and shotgun so I have that down, after some shooting range practice. I sometimes still accidentally walk backwards for some reason though, that’s my main small brain moment. What an incredible game. I can see myself replaying it for months until I get the plat.
Well at least we don't have Cyberpunk showing up undeservingly in the best ongoing category. Instead getting a best expansion nod as it should.
I voted mostly for FFXVI, Spidey 2, Octopath Traveler 2 & Resi 4. I wanted to give some games that didn’t win much at TGA. Can’t remember if RE4 won anything but yolo
No matter how many people vote for BG3, they'll just hand it to Spiderman 2. 😉
I’m a sucker for year lists, but I play most games in the year after release because of my backlog, streaming services and discounts.
My top 10 is:
1. Starfield.
10. Final Fantasy XVI
Mostly voted for Alan Wake 2 and Final Fantasy XVI. And I am totally aware that the PS Blog fanbase is not voting the same way as I am, but I like to pretend my voice matters anyway!
I have to say though: Death Stranding 2 wasn’t in the most anticipated games vote, but Fairgame$ was? Where are we at as gamers where it’s come to this nonsense? I jest, but with serious and heavy weight. Again, I jest, but with my heart on my sleeve.
PS5 and PS4 Goty - Persona 5 Tactica
Most Anticipated PlayStation Game of 2024 and Beyond - Metaphor
Studio of the Year - Larian
Best New Character - Toshiro - Persona 5 Tactica
Best Story - Persona 5 Tactica
Best Audio Design - Armoured Core VI
Soundtrack of the Year - Persona 5 Tactica
Best Multiplayer Experience - Street Fighter VI
Best Independent Game of the Year - Humanity
That's mine anyways
@Anti-Matter yes we know
@thefourfoldroot1 is the VR version a separate list to the base game
@Mikey856
Same list I believe. Luckily I held off playing until the VR version released (well, not lucky, I just wouldn’t be interested in the pancake game). Saves do not transfer over, but unlocked equipment (like the Handcannon for example) does carry over.
PS5 Game of the Year - The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie
Most Anticipated PlayStation Game of 2024 and Beyond - Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
Studio of the Year - Square-Enix
Best New Character - Clive Rosfield
Best Story - Final Fantasy XVI
Best Graphical Showcase - Final Fantasy XVI
Best Art Direction - Octopath Traveler 2
Best Audio Design - Final Fantasy XVI
Soundtrack of the Year - Octopath Traveler 2
Best Multiplayer Experience - Final Fantasy XIV
Best Ongoing Game - Final Fantasy XIV
Wanted Dead, Pikmin 4 was eh, Disgaea 7 played the demo, Gravity Trickster played the demo, Bayonetta Origins not played yet. Clive n Wrench was ok.
I mean Forza Motorsport for racing.... Ha I never laughed so hard. WRC 2023 or Ride 5 (even if don't have high thoughts of it because it's Ride 4 again and I didn't think Ride 4 was good of playable just cool ideas) ripped of a chance sigh not surprised.
Wanted Dead. Yes I played not big games this year (not missing out) and my tastes of games I wanted were just as average or worse this year then last year where playing the 2022 games I wanted to this year and they were good/better than this years to just as average after a while of playing them or beating them.
I also go for gameplay, so graphics, story and more nah it wasn't a game good for that at all. Neither were the rest either they were fine but game of the year nah. Good music eh. Good characters sure in many of the games they were.
I know besides the Nintendo games even my tastes never get close to noticed or selectable if that's how they formulate the listings then just the user adding in their own and not a bunch of preselectable options.
Nor will they ever and that's totally fine that's what makes playing different games interesting, but I just don't care for the types that get noticed for game of the year most of them aren't my thing or bore me to death. So I couldn't care less what games get game of the year anyway.
