Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been written off by many players, but it's looking pretty good in this latest trailer. That the game has live service elements has left a bad taste in the mouths of fans, but WB Games and Rocksteady have leaned into the action shooter's story here, and it looks like there's still some promise.
The trailer shows off much more about the Justice League itself; many of its members have been corrupted by Brainiac and are laying waste to the city of Metropolis. The premise has you and up to three friends playing as the Suicide Squad in a seemingly impossible mission to eliminate the superpowered threats. We see heroes like Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, and The Flash in the trailer, showing off gameplay of fighting against them as well as various cutscenes.
It looks pretty good from where we're sitting, although obviously the jury's still out when it comes to the game's overall structure. However, if it has a great comic book story at its core and a fun campaign to blast through, maybe it'll be better than a lot of people fear.
Anyway, what do you think of this new trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League? Tell us in the comments section below.

Needs to be more Guardians of the Galaxy for me. This is a strong pass still.
We’ve seen variations on this same trailer like 12 times.
I bet you'll only actually kill 1 member of the Justice League, something tells me the producers will be extremely nervous about you murdering these Superman and Batman! I won't be playing but I'll find it very funny
So bummed for Rocksteady. I’d love to know the presale figures for this game vs past ones. Can’t imagine it stacks up well.
There are a lot going on with Suicide Squad that I didn’t like the look or sound of at all, but after giving the game a go with friends (and that was a key part of the enjoyment) during the recent closed beta, and without saying too much after signing off my soul with non disclosures and the ilk, I am actually looking forward to the game now big time and before I tried it, I was not in the least interested.
The graphics look nice I guess?
That’s a real bad cover of a Gorillaz song.
Looks awesome, can't wait.
It looks like a fun time, but I can’t get behind the tacked on online crap. Maybe if an offline mode is implemented I’ll bite.
I played the alpha of this and really enjoyed it. I’d like to know more about how they will tie it to future games, how is Batman alive? Will they actually kill the justice league or save them? I would seriously urge people to give this a chance, it’s a lot better than I thought it would be
@Bionic-Spencer this! I feel exactly the same. It’s just good fun

@Boucho11 word, I already liked the previews to begin with but the alpha was so goddamn fun to play. Did it throughout with a friend and gave some code to others and everyone enjoyed it.
Sincerely hope it does well.
After playing the Alpha I can say that that story seems a bit interesting but that gameplay is just such a drag. Not that fun at all. The gunplay just seems bland and the abilities just don't seem fun.
Also listening to Harley Quinn and the awkward interactions between the team(except King Shark) for 20+ hours is a bit much. Her voice can be a bit much, but King Shark is funny lol.
I feel like if they could have made this similar to The Batman games it could have been awesome.
@nomither6 I'm allergic to games that are always online and will die whenever WB, Sony, Microsoft, Activision Blizzard and so on can pull the trigger to take your game away even when you have payed for it.
Always online, liveservice, heavy monetization, digital only have shown us that they won't bat a eye killing of their product the moment it stops making money or make it unplayable rather then let the gamers keep enjoying/playing it.
And this in the style of the Batman trilogy with heavy emphasis on the story would have been so much cooler.
Those who fear the games will be taken away as it is always online are like people who fear the sky falling one day. I mean almost everyone who plays games has access to the internet. And you fear the game will be taken away, obviously multiplayer part will stop to exist but the solo play can be easily made available after they stop the server like Avengers. Usual game preservation blah blah is so cliche. I would just rather enjoy the present, although it does not mean I will buy this at launch.
If this didn't have Live Service I'd be interested but as it is now? nope not interested in the slightest.
I just want another Arkham game with Batman, give me that and 5000 battle arenas to fight through and I’m good for a few years
This trailer tries to convince that the game has depth, but as soon as the cutscenes end and the gameplay begins, it's just back to "jump 'n' shoot"
I can't deny that at the very least I am interested in the story for this game. That and the boss fights against the JL do look pretty fun and wacky. It's just everything else that just looks so...meh. I'm on the fence with it but leaning towards the "wait for a sale at least" side.
@PixelDragon online isn’t even free ,we’re still paying to use our own internet in 2023 , so i’m apathetic to it when crap like that is still a thing. i’m not a ps subscriber and haven’t been for over a year , and me not subbing didn’t make a single difference so why would it here. i can’t even play non f2p games online to even worry about whatever else second
@Flaming_Kaiser those always online are usually f2p anyway & that horror story only happens to games virtually no one cares about . remember knock out city ? i don’t either
and yes we all want another batman style game . gotham knights and suicide squad isn’t what most people wanted
So Harley web slings like Spiderman, Deadshot is dead - shot, and impersonated...and Superman has a stark resemblance to Henry Cavill. Batman doesn't sound right without Kevin's voice. Not an easy man to replace.
@JohntheRaptor Pretty sure this is supposed to be Kevin Conroy's last performance as Batman.
Still think it looks like hot garbage.
@Player_Bartowski thought it was him first time but sounded a bit off after watching again
Played the Alpha and am now looking forward to the full release. Im curious how many people here slating the game have actually tried it.
Everytime i look at trailers of this game i think how cool it would've been to play a Justice league game by rocksteady instead.
Then i watch the shooter gameplay, i get sad at the waste and move on.
@JohntheRaptor they already honored Kevin Conroy with this being the last thing before he died. It is 100% him.
@nomither6 The missed opportunity here is tossed away for more profit is just painful. And always online with the only reason to keep people in the dark. There is no good reason why it's not a option but the only reason is to keep engagement high and make people spend more.
