Twisted Metal will return for a second season on Peacock, with Anthony Mackie set to reprise his role as John Doe. The Captain America actor confirmed the tidbit during The Game Awards, where the show is nominated for Best Adaptation. The first season of the series, a comedy version of the car combat franchise, eclipsed all expectations – and ended up attracting impressive critical acclaim.
“I have to give a Sweet Tooth-sized thank you to our incredible fans – I read every comment and was so blown away by everyone’s love, support, and rabid enthusiasm for a paper bag,” said showrunner Michael Jonathan Smith in a statement. “We are beyond thankful we get to continue the story of John Doe, Quiet, and Sweet Tooth as they face off against familiar faces and new grim foes in the long-awaited Twisted Metal tournament. The mixtape is made, and I’m thrilled to get back on the road with our stellar cast and crew.”
There’s currently no word on when the second season is expected to arrive, but it’ll air on Peacock just like its predecessor.

hopefully the game gets announced next year too
Think about how many good shows get cancelled. This didn’t even look cheap to film.
When are we getting an Apple TV+ exclusive high-bidget mature Patapon series, Sony?????
Mackie was so cringe on stage, it was like he was doing a bad impression of a way past his prime Will Smith and even the audience didn't seem impressed.
I'm always down for more Twisted Metal!!!
So where’s the game?
Still waiting for the first season to come to the uk.
