I remember when a sale was a rare, big event. You'd spend ages pouring over the titles looking for that amazing bargain. Nowadays it the same titles, at the same prices every other week. Very disappointing.
@BeerMonster it feels that way and it is the case for many (if not most games), but it's really not always the case. Almost in every single sale I find something cheaper or that was not on sale in the past. But when such an overwhelming number of games is the same on sale and gets the same price cut over and over again, yeah, you definitely get that impression. That's why I found wishlists incredibly useful.
The wallet is safe. Which is just as well as it's been 647 days since my December pay and I still have another 239 until January pay day
Sonic superstars seems to be 32.99 or less at retail and has been since launch 🤔 dont think i'll be picking up much in this 'sale'. Just as well. Like a dragon next week and persona 3 / FF7 in Feb
Digimon Survive for £9? I was on the fence because it's more of a visual novel than a strategy game, but now I might actually bite the bullet and buy it.
@BeerMonster I kinda wish push square would do a feature on the biggest bargains on ps store ,there's some really cheap stuff on there if you look ,granted you may only get a few hours of entertainment out of them, but still.
Glad I waited as got Avatar on discount today. Been looking to play it for ages!
I like how PushSquare put together a "curated" list and yet included... Gollum?!
Made a boo boo and got re8 gold with my credit. I am literally never going to have time to play through my paid backlog. Let alone my ps+, let alone my weekly accumulated epic stuff. Need another lockdown!
If nothing else at least I got 108 of those sweet sweet ps stars points 😂
Some interesting ones I stumbled upon:
I hate to say it, but I don’t think I want any games I’ve missed at the point. My catalog is vast. Only thing I’m searching for is TWD: Destinies which isn’t worth full price
If they made that Gollum game free I'd still avoid it...
@Mephisto2869 I concur! Every time I see one of these articles there's barely a mention of anything below £10. There are some great games available for only a few quid:
Windbound £1.59
Late Shift £4.54 (PS+ subscribers)
Cloudpunk £2.99
We Were Here Too £1.59
We Were Here Expeditions: The Friendship £1.64
Beyond A Steel Sky £3.99
Another sale on at DFS🤦🏼.
That resi 3 has been off and on that price for many many months.
'member $1 flash sales? Oh, I 'member...
I was scrolling this morning and saw a few tempters but between finishing off Final Fantasy VII Remake and then it's dlc and having just picked up Red Dead Redemption 1, I doubt I'd get round to playing them
Still no discount on Star Ocean Second Story R. Me sad.
I picked up Sonic Frontiers in a previous sale for $1 more than it is currently selling for in this sale. I wanted to like it, but just did not. I really liked when you were in the "levels," but the open world I found annoying. I fell off the map so many times trying to, you know, go fast.
@Bartig The smaller games also seem to have some really pleasent surprises where you get a really fun game for next to nothing.
@TrannosaurusBex Totally agree the smaller games should get more time in the spotlight.
@BeerMonster while that is true, I certainly ain't complaining — I don't think I even buy games full priced anymore; sales are a great time to wishlist stuff and then grab the ones you actually want to play when they inevitably roll around again.
@Bartig
Had a fun time with Kona while it was part of the Extra/Premium tier selection. Nice atmospheric, slowburn kind of game. Definitely a bargain for that price!
Meanwhile, for me, I keep waiting for Sonic Superstars to hit $30 or less digitally. It's been that cheap on Amazon, but this is a rare case where I would rather get it digitally.
@Dudditz09 ...lol that really confused me until I had to think about your comment 🤣
@TrannosaurusBex thank you sir ,great recommendations,beyond a steel sky is an absolute bargain,come on push square how about it ?
Arkham trilogy for £6 is a bargain!!
I got the deluxe MHR and Sunbreak on sale last week. Oh well.
@BeerMonster this!
