Out next week on the 1st February, it's no surprise that Granblue Fantasy: Relink's launch trailer is here — but we honestly didn't expect it to be this hype. Featuring a swelling orchestral score and some fantastic looking action, this should help raise anticipation levels if you're already on board for this action RPG.
You can watch the English dub version above, and the Japanese dub version below.
It's almost mad to think that Relink is so close. If you haven't been keeping up, the game was first announced all the way back in 2016, and for years, it was a joint venture between action title specialists Platinum Games and Granblue Fantasy creator Cygames. Later in its development cycle, Platinum Games was taken off the project, and Cygames seemed to make good progress on its own.
This one's been a long time coming, then. And while it's a shame that it's releasing just a day before Persona 3 Reload (who thought that was a good idea?) we're still eager to see if the seven year wait has been worthwhile.
Are you looking forward to Granblue Fantasy: Relink? Set off towards the skies in the comments section below.

I would probably love this (the single player story, not the Monster Hunter-like online portion), but not knowing if I'd be able to finish this before Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth makes it a hard sell for now.
Can't wait. Roll on midnight. I'm going to be in RPG heaven over the next several weeks!
When will Pushsquare have a review up? I've tried the demo and I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy it but like to see reviews to make sure there's no game breaking bugs or anything.
Always liked the look of this but the latest previews have jacked my expectations up to 11… I reckon this is gonna be pretty epic!

Can someone explain how the single player story works? Is there one town hub and you just go out to different areas and then come back to town, like in monster hunter? Or is it more like Tales of Arise, With proper exploration and multiple towns?
It does look incredible and Cygames does have a good track record with their games. I really do hope it holds up considering how many years of delay it went through.
@Kiefer-Sutherland I also wondered this. The demo made me think it was a hub and you went out on missions to specific places.
N.i.c.e. the English voice acting is excellent.granblue fantasy relink is going to be amazing.word up son
@Rangers420 Before launch is all we can say.
About time!! Although I already bought Suicide squad so this'll have to wait for awhile.
I do hope it's not a hub like people are saying, would've loved to explore the world map.
Sweet, cannot wait.
Curious about the reviews since the game got delayed a lot
Hope it's good
So to all the Granblue Fantasy fans out there; which character are you most excited to play? And why is it Narmaya?
Bring on midnight!
@FatalBubbles They took inspiration from one of the older Xseed published games, Ragnarok Odyssey/Ace. Similar hub. Single player has its own lobby, it looks like. Then you go to main menu, log into multiplayer and your character is brought over. At least that’s the vibe I got, and it works very well.
The demo unfortunately kinda killed my hype: it seems not bad but kinda juvenile…I hope I am wrong. If the reviews are great, I will be playing it.
@DeathlySW So it’s not an open world to explore?
@FatalBubbles it not open world they say that in interviews
@FatalBubbles nope. But for what it’s worth I’m glad. I would definitely watch some videos of Ragnarok Odyssey Ace and and Phantasy Star Portable and Portable 2. Game structure looks to be similar and it was so so fun, I’m excited about this one for that reason!
@DeathlySW thanks for info. I didn’t enjoy the demo much outside of some combat and these details are probably the nail in the coffin.
@FatalBubbles having played it at midnight and just now getting back on, I was only incorrect in the separate lobby thing. It’s all one lobby, thankfully! But yeah, sounds like it’s not your cup of tea. Plenty of games mate! Enjoy!
Finally going to get some time with this tomorrow. Been waiting for an age for this.
@DeathlySW No worries at all! I enjoyed Tales of Arise quite a bit and thought this looked like a clone is why I was initially interested. I’ve got FF7 part 2 in a month so I shall impatiently wait.
