PlayStation has just published a trailer (above) and a webpage that both detail some of the biggest games heading our way in 2024. It's certainly worth checking out, as it does highlight how exciting this year is looking at this early stage. Most notable, though, is release windows for a pair of major Konami titles.
Both Silent Hill 2 and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater show up in these rundowns. They've not previously had a release window of any kind, so while we could previously presume the games were heading to PS5 this year, it's now official. Both are currently planned for 2024.
Other games featured in this coverage include Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2, Rise of the Ronin, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and many others. The gaming calendar is already looking pretty busy, and now we can add Konami's remakes to the list.
Are you excited to play Silent Hill 2 and MGS Delta this year? Don your best camo in the comments section below.

The horror games just keep on coming! 😊
they are going to be 6/7 out of 10 experiences. remaking legendary games is far more difficult than it sounds. konami clearly cut corners with the budget, so better to check expectations at the door with these.
Im not sure i believe that Delta will release this year. It would be nice if they showed some gameplay for SH2
I could see Silent Hill 2 possibly releasing this year but I'm not sure about Delta, but I could be wrong.
Trailer was good , but showing Concord still with no actual gameplay is lame.
@Americansamurai1 Me and Stephen were just laughing about this. It seems so out of place in a trailer that's otherwise so full of gameplay clips.
Not too fussed about these two atm. I’m looking forward to Helldivers and Rebirth 👌
I'll probably skip both.
I finished with Metal Gear a long time ago and I'm too much of a coward for silent hill.
There was a hole in the release schedule. It’s gone now! Couldn’t resist😂. Now if we could get a remake of Symphony of the Night…
@ShogunRok @Americansamurai1 I almost feel like Sony might shadow drop Concord and they feel confident about it. Otherwise, it’s so baffling that… well, I mean, it IS Sony, after all.
Sad to say that I’m going to wait to read reviews on remakes of two of my favorite games, but who could trust Konami in 2024?
@somnambulance yeah you never know with Sony anymore. Pretty sure it's been in development since 2018 so it should be close.
Expecting the scariest thing about Silent Hill 2 remake to be the PC performance.
Just can't get excited about Bloober doing SH2. They're the wrong developer, and I don't think their style fits this game. Guess we'll see.
Also this song is a total rip-off of Leftfield's Dusted.
I'd be surprised to see Snake Eater come out this year but Silent Hill 2 seems almost guaranteed I would think. Hilarious to see Concord show up again only to show that same space burger again. 😆
Really hoping Stellar Blade is coming though.
I can't believe Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, Tekken 8, Space Marine 2, and Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth are all on their way to my PS5 this year!!!
Then we can see the the puzzle on the wall my near and far sights shot need all the help I can get lol
I just hope this trailer doesn't substitute a potencial near future state of play..
What's happened to Little Devil Inside? There's plenty to look forward to on PlayStation in there from a 2nd & 3rd party exclusive front but I'd love to see what some of the first party teams are upto as well.
@Porco Source?
Pleasantly surprised to know Snake Eater is coming this year. It'll be nice to return to MGS after so long. Interesting that Concord is scheduled for 2024, but no mention of Fairgames.
Not a single first party new game?
I hope we see some gameplay of concord soon I need a competitive fps to play because I refuse to buy cod anymore. Microsoft will never have my money again.
N.i.c.e. that both games are coming this year.we will see.its gonna be special.word up son
Just another two day one buys.
@PixelDragon i don't really understand your question. is that a commentary on my post or did you pose a random question to me? as for resident evil 2 remake, i thought it was well done from a production standpoint. no issues there. that said, claire and leon path's were essentially the exact same so it was a missed opportunity to "remix" the experiences and make them more unique. i thought it was immersion breaking that various doors would be locked even on the second playthrough.
@ArashiKageTaro the only source you need is the jenk gameplay trailer and knowing what konami has stood for the past decade or so. we also know the third rate developers they hired for their remakes. by all means get hyped, though haha.
I’m definitely excited for Silent Hill 2R. I enjoyed the Medium, flawed as it is. This is Bloober’s big moment to shine, and I suspect they’re not messing around. Preordered and very excited!
Metal Gear Delta on the other hand… 🤔
Not only that, but i would say this makes it likely they will release in the first 6 months of the year.
Cautiously optimistic, but afraid the remakes will end up being trash and I don’t believe the devs can be trusted. And the originals legacy will be forever tarnished.
@Dr_ENT Concord which we've only got a teaser trailer for so far.
I'm way more interested in Silent Hill f, because that's a brand new game.
@Americansamurai1 o just dont get concord.
How can they have a release window tell us and still no of the woser what it is.
I just dont think they are confident with live service anymore
That's a great trailer and the song almost seems like a message to Xbox, lol.
@Bez87 I'm hoping they get some good leadership over there with a clear vision. The live service future is looking very grim, trying to do 12 was just unrealistic to began with.
@MrMagic it do 😂.
@Jay767 Yeah, Sony's like, I'm still the King. 😉
@dschons who cares about GaaS?!
I’m curious about the Silent Hill 2 remake. Hopeful that it will be good but preparing myself for the worst.
@Dr_ENT I do if it's good. That aside, you asked the wrong question then if you're not satisfied with my reply.
No quarter timeframe given means, probably, Q3/4.
@EvilSilentFrame if they can capture the atmosphere which i think they can , i think it will be just fine. silent hill 1-3 weren't about combat more then just trying to survive.
i hope so excited to revisit these games this year with a modern twist.
@twitchtvpat yes, the Silent Hill franchise wasn’t about combat. I’m hopeful for the remake. I want it to be good. Bloober Team does well at atmosphere. They are a young team and they are getting experience under their belt, but I feel they weren’t ready to take on this remake yet. Hopefully I'm wrong. I’m just preparing myself for it to be bad in case it is. Then I won’t be let down.
