Overlooked Action RPG Fate/Samurai Remnant Now Has a Playable Demo on PS5, PS4

A game that got a little buried under the high profile releases of last year, Fate/Samurai Remnant now has a playable demo on PS5 and PS4, which features the first few chapters of its twisting campaign. For those totally out of the loop, this is an action RPG set in Edo Japan, as chosen heroes battle it out over an all-powerful ritual. It's based on the Fate franchise, but it's a completely standalone plot, so you don't have to be in-the-know in order to enjoy the adventure.

For what it's worth, we really enjoyed Fate/Samurai Remnant (it even made it onto this particular author's Game of the Year list). If you're on the market for some refined hack and slash combat, paired with what is, at times, a genuinely engrossing story with great characters, then we'd definitely recommend checking this demo out. What's more, progress made in the demo can be carried over to the full game.

The game's first DLC, Keian Command Championship, is also set to release next month, so Koei Tecmo's clearly trying to drum up some additional interest.
