The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest is a parody platformer paying homage to Konami's incredible 8-bit legacy, especially the Castlevania franchise. Fans of classic platformers will want to keep an eye on this one from developer Programancer; due out in 2025, it's planned for a PS5 and PS4 launch.
After arriving in Transylvania to find his hated rival Stan Helsing has already disposed of Dracula, titular hero Simon Quest must travel across Wallachia, collecting the necessary ingredients to return the prince of darkness to un-life so that Simon can kick his butt all over again. Featuring minigames galore, an assortment of weapons to wield, and a built-in randomizer, it looks like much more than just an allusion, boasting modern gameplay sensibilities and conveniences.

Angry Video Game Nerd will rethink his life after this announcement
Looks like a lot of fun to me, and I have only a passing acquaintance with Castlevania.
Is there anyone, anywhere, that requires more than a year's notice of this game coming out?!
Keep your powder dry until nearer the release date. This announcement, especially given how insanely busy this period is for new releases, is just a waste of time!
Looks great but...2025? Seriously?
This looks so cool! I loved the bit where the boss threw the ball and chain and Simon Quest slide-kicks it back at the boss. Love stuff like that.
They even got the "walking like he needs dump" down pat.
That looks bloody brilliant - 2025 too far away!
