Look, we all love Crazy Taxi. The bright colours, the iconic cars and characters, the fast, frantic gameplay — it's a difficult series to dislike, and we can't wait for SEGA's new entry to arrive. However, we can certainly see the value in a taxi game that takes the opposite approach, one that plays it straight and lets you build up your own cab company. That's what we're getting with Taxi Life: A City Driving Simulator on PS5.
This new game from publisher Nacon lets you drive around an open world city based on Barcelona, picking up passengers and taking them to their destinations. As well as customising your choice of taxi, you'll need to make sure your customers have the most comfortable ride possible. As seen in the above trailer, they might make requests of you such as opening the windows, and you should oblige if you want a positive rep.
Initially pencilled in for February, the game's release date is now set for 7th March 2024, and it's available to pre-order now. What do you think of Taxi Life? Keep the clock running in the comments section below.

Lowkey quite looking forward to this one.
Damn, I thought it was crazy taxi. 🤣
It's one of those games I'd like to play / try but probably not quite enough for me to actually go to the trouble or expense of buying it.
Hopefully one day it will come to PS Essential or Extra
No Offspring = no deal
@Shaunholio used to love Offspring back in the day. I still enjoy it when they play it on absolute radio at work, although none of the "youths" have a clue who they are. Damn those pesky kids.
@Member_the_game It seems like the kind of game that could really benefit from a demo, maybe a PS Plus Premium trial (although that's not ideal considering the expense).
Day one purchase for me - Simteract's last game was fun and well optimised on current gen.
£34.99 is putting me off. Might be one to grab in a sale/after any bugs/issues have been ironed out
If this isn't a Sammy game then I don't know what is?
But I want crazy taxi 🥲
I genuinely loved the taxi missions in GTA. (More than I should admit!). Might pick this up
Looks nice, but kind of annoyed that a base price of that amount only has one city to choose from. Would bet my house on future cities being paid DLC.
Looks like the GT of taxi games. Indestructible cars, no tension, just the wait for that monetary ding.
@Kidfunkadelic83 @Shaunholio Helloe there friends.
To this day, in any game that allows me to drive a taxi all I hear in my head is "All I Want" from The Offspring.
Hearing one of my favourite bands while playing Crazy Taxi was pure bliss back in the day.
This means two things: one, were getting old and two we still have great taste in music 😉
The game looks pretty nice. Too bad there are so many games already in the first three months.
Cheers and have a good one
This looks really good.
