Remedy has announced that critical darling Alan Wake 2 will get its Photo Mode in Spring 2024. It's hot on the news that the spooky, surreal horror title has sold 1.3 million copies, making it the studio's fastest-selling game to date.
The developer announced the news on Twitter, thanking players for all the atmospheric screenshots, with more information coming. Two significant pieces of DLC, Night Springs and The Lake House, respectively, are also expected for Alan Wake 2.
The former will allow players to control a few familiar faces from across the Alan Wake Universe in episodes of the in-game TV series Night Springs. The latter will see a return to the shared reality of Alan Wake and Saga Anderson as they investigate an ominous, secret government research facility. There is no release window for The Lake House yet, but Night Springs is also slated for Spring 2024, so perhaps we will see Photo Mode arrive alongside it in a free update.
