2K Sports has revealed the final roster for the upcoming WWE 2K24, an impressive gathering of over 204 playable superstars, including 70 Legends no longer on main rosters and eight managers. Still, fans quickly noted some high-profile names missing from the list: 7-time WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and former WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. Lesnar had previously been removed from the Forty Years of WrestleMania version of the game.
This follows allegations of sex trafficking levelled at McMahon by a former WWE employee, which a bombshell report from the Wall Street Journal dragged into the spotlight. Lesnar was not explicitly named in the proceedings, but sources familiar with the matter told the WSJ that he was the unnamed WWE champion involved. McMahon denied the charges but resigned as WWE CEO the day after the federal lawsuit was filed.
However, this does not mean that Lesnar or McMahon will be absent from the game. According to a source, GameSpot has reason to believe the Lesnar vs Undertaker match from WrestleMania 30 will be included in Showcase mode. They theorise that another match already confirmed for Showcase mode (Stone Cold vs. The Rock, WrestleMania 17) will likely feature an appearance from McMahon, too.
