Here's a blast from the past. Disney Epic Mickey, which never did release for PlayStation, is being brought back with a full remake — and this version is coming to PlayStation. Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, from THQ Nordic and Purple Lamp, is heading to PS5 and PS4 sometime this year.
The game stars Mickey Mouse as he traverses Wasteland, a reality full of forgotten and discarded Disney characters. You use paint and thinner to alter the environment, restoring it or uncovering hidden secrets. The remake, being developed by the makers of the Battle for Bikini Bottom remake as well as SpongeBob: Cosmic Shake, brings the game fans love up to date with enhanced visuals.

Who was the original publisher? I don't think it was the original thq was it?
@Americansamurai1 I think Disney itself published the original game.
@Americansamurai1 It was Junction Point Studios who made it and Disney Interactive Studios who published the game.
This game was a lot of fun on the wii. I'm definitely excited to earn some trophies this time!
I had some fun with this on Wii but unless they are adding Move support you are losing the point of the game, painting everything. Though I suppose it worked out ok for all those ports of Okami.
Not sure how well it will hold up but the first was fun. The sequel I quit halfway thru.🤷🏻♂️
here we go again with the remasters... how on earth did embracer group get its hands on this ip?
I always wanted to play this one but I never had a chance to play it the first time around. I'm interested to see how it works without the motion controls though as I remember that being pretty important with this game since it was a Wii game. Depending on what reviews say I might pick it up on the Switch if motion controls are important to it.
That's pretty cool, but if they can't fix the camera just cancel it. Like, what's even the point?
We found something Embracer actually worked on! Can’t believe we found a project from them that made it through development!
The 3D platformer fan in me is fangirling rn!
Wasn’t expecting this. Nice!
YEEEEEEEEESS!!!!!!
Fantastic! I always wanted this so this makes me very happy.
Never got to play this, but definitely interested.
good, was always curious but never owned a Wii
Fancy this one
I remember really enjoying this game when it came out. I could definitely see myself picking this up.
I've always wanted to play this game. Got it on Wii a few years ago but I don't want to lug that thing out. Very excited.
I love this game but I’d miss the pointer controls on the PS5. One for the Switch.
So excited to finally play this! Never got to play the first since the Wii was my sister’s and but she did owned the first one. I did eventually buy the second game on my 360 and PC, so I played the hell out of that one
Huh, I knew it wouldn't be exclusive to the switch, would be great to pickup later down the line, I still have my PS3 copy somewhere too
Played the 2nd one (Epic Mickey on the PS3) in multi-player. Does this support multi-player?
Now remaster Castle of illusion
I played this on the Wii. It was let down by an awful camera. If they allow right stick camera control it may make it better.
I also found that the original didn't give you much incentive to collect the collectables bor do side missions but being linked to trophies may fix this
The little boy in me who played Mickey Mania on the Mega Drive is screaming his head off in excitement
@messimagician
The Illusion series in general needs a remaster/remake for current gen
@Corc11
I only played the PS one version of Mickey’s Mania but never got far on it back in the day
@Dragoon1994 the Steamboat Willie opening chapter on the Mega Drive is legit one of my earliest gaming memories. Will never forget it and will always hold a special place in my heart
