EA Sports WRC is still receiving regular updates from Codemasters, and this month it's bringing not only a new huge patch, but also the start of a new season. While the game update is available today, Season 3 is set to get underway from 13th February.
The seasonal content will include a fresh batch of Moments, doled out once per day, each with its own leaderboard of course. Beyond that, Season 3 brings a new Rally Pass, featuring both free and premium cosmetics for fans to unlock.
As for the patch, it looks like a massive one. You can see the full patch notes through the link, but the main bullets points are:
- Reduced stuttering
- Fixes for object collision and corner cutting
- Improved frame rate on Chile
- Fixes for game crashes
- Fixes for co-driver issues
- Fixes and improvements to visual effects
Again, there's lots more than that — it's a big one.

It's a shame with these updates they don't keep going beyond a year as I would feel better about buying a cheaper season pass than a complete new game or buying a complete game knowing it will only last a year. E.g. I bought Tekken 8 knowing that's going to be supported for years to come and I am more likely going to be invested in the season pass content.
It’s still NOT a good game and sub par graphics. I’ve gone back to WRC generations
@Styledvinny79 i didnt mind the graphics but the career was god awful. The calendar wasnt even laid out like a calendar just a set of tabs and this is where i spend 100% of my time. For me WRC generations is the better game overall too. The stages are great in both games but the density of foliage/trees in EA was fantastic.
@SgtTruth @Kidfunkadelic83 yeah it’s just plain awful. That’s why it is selling so cheap.people have argued over this but you cannot deny it. It is just awful
This is the best rally game for the casual driver. They did a good job to balance fun and realistic physics modeling. Also it contains a lot of content, it's not locked behind micro transactions. But graphics and UI are not great though, that's true, and the game released clearly unfinished though it's getting better and better. Still, I prefer this game compared to Dirt Rally 2
The first dirt rally is still the best game they've made imo.
@Styledvinny79
It is the graphics that killed this game. The gameplay is very very good but it is not enough to save this game.
