Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launches for PS5 this coming Thursday, which means a wonderful pre-order offer Square Enix has put on is about to expire: the twin pack containing both Rebirth and Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade. Until the release of Rebirth, this double pack costs the exact same as Rebirth at £69.99 / $69.99, which means you get the PS5 version of Remake for free. This offer expires exactly one minute before the game goes live on Thursday.
The twin pack will still be available after release, but it will increase in price to £94.99 / $99.99, so it's best to commit to the purchase now and save yourself some cash. You can start playing Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade immediately, giving yourself a few days extra to work through the first part of the remake trilogy and then move on to Rebirth once you're done. If you search the pre-orders section of the PS Store, the offer is currently near the very top. Here it is on the webstore.
In our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth PS5 review, we awarded the RPG remake an 8/10 and said: "If you can push through the tedium of its open world busywork and padded storytelling, there's a great sequel at the heart of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. It retains all of Remake's most important strengths, but builds on an already brilliant combat system, and excels at showcasing an iconic RPG setting."
Have you already taken advantage of this pre-order deal, or do you plan to in the next couple of days? Let us know in the comments below.

yeah I preordered the Twin Pack. I'm trying to get through the Yuffie dlc before Rebirth comes out.
I already have an order placed on Amazon for Rebirth so I'm ready for this when it comes
It's worth getting if you're interested. For all of the flaws I personally think both games have, buying both of them together and then playing them both together will feel like a truly colossal 140 hour adventure with so many memorable moments.
Or you could wait until 2028 for the third game and binge the lot!
@ShogunRok I’ve already pre-ordered but was thinking… I haven’t played the Crisis Core remake yet, would you recommend that I play that first?
Already have the FF7 Intergrade via playstation plus but it's a great offer for those new to the games.
Or you can just buy rebirth physical for £55.
So that £70 isn’t such a great deal.
Already have the first game and its DLC so i went for the standard deluxe version. The Twin Pack is a great offer though for new players.
@colonelkilgore Having played both the Yuffie DLC and CC, and knowing a bit about Rebirth from trailers, I'd say CC is actually more relevant. The Yuffie DLC is great but I'm not sure how much will actually matter for Rebirth apart from the odd reference from Yuffie. Both are quite short. You could complete the DLC in a day if you have nothing else on. Crisis Core, without the optional stuff, is like a week of fairly relaxed play (maybe 20 hours at most).
I mean, long story short, if you look at the Rebirth key art you'll see Cloud, Zack and Sephiroth on there, not Yuffie.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner I know what you mean, but at the same time you can start playing exactly as soon as Rebirth comes out with a digital copy. With a physical you have to wait for it to be delivered, then install while the install speed is slowed down by the day 1 patch downloading. You may have most of a day longer to wait. For £15 (less than the price of a meal at my local pub) you get to play right at midnight. If that doesn't matter to you, then obviously saving a few quid is obviously the better choice.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner or you can buy Shop.to gift card with -15%. And get back more 4% from Stars rewards. Slightly more, but for me it is 56,5£ value digital Twin pack pre order at the end.
@Matroska yeah the Yuffie dlc was never really an option, as I have far too much on my plate… I did kinda figure that it’d be a good idea to play CC though. Oh well, I’m not in any rush I guess.
I only started playing Remake because of the Twin Pack. Can't believe I put this amazing game off for so many years.
@puddinggirl I obviously really like it too, but it'll be interesting to hear what you think when you get to certain parts like the area before the 2nd reactor. Some of the game is brutally endless and a real slog - but then the characters and how they interact is amazing. Not to mention the music, atmosphere and art design.
@colonelkilgore Crisis Core will tell you more about Zack but it's not a must-play to enjoy Rebirth. You could honestly just watch Crisis Core's story scenes on YouTube and not miss out on much — especially if you're stretched for time at all. The game itself is a bit of a slog, especially if you're following it up with the (much superior) Remake and then Rebirth.
I haven't seen a lot of people talk about the fact that Square is giving a game and DLC for free with Rebirth. I was always going to preorder Rebirth, so of course I am going to get the twin pack. I only had Remake on PS4 and haven't played intergrade so it was a free perk.
@colonelkilgore maybe not first since Rebirth bout to be out but definitely go back and play it in the future!
@Matroska majority of day 1 releases turn up early. So yeah alls good.
Just pointing out that it’s made out to be some great deal, when realistically it’s not actually that great imo.
FF7 Remake was my first FF game and I wouldn't have it any other way. Sorry Colin if you are reading this.
Just preordered this last night
I'm glad I didn't pre-order this twin pack in the past, Remake Intergrade was at $15 in November.... I'm sure Rebirth will be at $40 in 2 months.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner The majority don't. They used to over a decade ago but that's been very rare for ages, hence all these spoiler videos. In slightly less than 48 hours digital players will definitely be playing the game. 99% of physical owners won't, and all to save money equivalent to a pizza. Quote this post when you get the game, with a screenshot, if you get it early.
@REALAIS Shopto is class. Don't get my gift cards anywhere else.
@Hundred_Hand_Slap its only a couple hours you got plenty of time ! until thursday night
That is a good deal. If they do this on PC I'll definitely buy it. If they don't then I'll find a pirate
I thought this deal was too good to be true when I first saw it a few weeks back, finally picked it up a couple of days ago after buying $70 worth of gift cards on Amazon as I already had $7 in my account to cover the $6 tax. 👍
I see a bunch of people making the argument this isn’t a good deal, that you could do better, and I could see that point of view being valid, but I did it anyway and here’s why.
I was planning on buying this game physical for my kid - it’s their birthday gift, I gave them a card with a pic in it last month - and I was going to borrow Remake from the library for my other kid to play, but the library version doesn’t come with the Yuffie dlc, which goes for $19.99, and no one in my family has seen it. So rather than borrowing the base game from the library and rushing through it before having to return it and buying dlc for a disc I don’t own for $70 my kid gets to play FF7R, when they finish FF7 on Switch which they just started, then when the other kid gets home from college for the summer we’ll watch the first kid play the Yuffie dlc, then we’ll all watch the other kid play Rebirth.
So for $70 that’s probably much more than 100 hours of entertainment for my entire family and nobody ever has to get off the couch. So it seems worth it to me. 🤷🏻♂️
@Ray_Ray_Regasis getting all the trophies is proving to be more time consuming than I anticipated. I didn't think I'd be playing so much Fort Condor!
@Matroska Yeah that one day delivery will be a nightmare. 🤣
@Matroska I haven't found any part particularly tedious or brutal, even including the supposedly tedious staircase part. (Ya I opted this way. LOL)
It's probably because I really like the characters, combat and, I don't play like a full day straight each time. I think my longest sessions are on the weekends, about 4 hours each time.
