You may recall Paradox Interactive announced Prison Architect 2 back in January. It's a sequel to the fan favourite management sim in which you grow and maintain a prison, taking care of your inmates and expanding your facilities. The fully 3D follow-up was scheduled to launch in March, but has now been pushed back to 7th May, 2024.
Announced on its official forums, the delay will allow developer Double Eleven to "identify more bugs and further optimize the game". The team says it's "already confident in the quality of the game" but requires some extra time to "offer a smoother experience to our players from day one".
The studio has also announced a series of streams beginning in March that'll delve into the game's final few months of development.
As always, delays are a shame but ultimately a good thing for the games and the teams that make them. Hopefully Prison Architect 2 will be polished up and raring to go in early May. Will you be playing this one? Hide a key in the cake in the comments section below.
