Bandai Namco has released a new gameplay overview trailer for Sand Land, the desert-roaming adventure title that's based on Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama's one-shot manga. The nine-minute video provides what is probably our best look at the game yet, ahead of its release on the 26th April.
The trailer covers pretty much everything you need to know, detailing exploration — both in vehicles and on foot — and the title's action combat system. As long as the map isn't too desolate — and we're not just chasing down generic objective markers — we could have a great adaptation on our hands.
How do you feel about Sand Land? Keep an eye out for water in the comments section below.

This looks better than I imagined. Looking forward to the reviews on it…hope they’re good.
Added to the glut of JRPGS for this year. Day 1 to support but likely play later on
Im sold. Look so huge and fun. Really love the art style and adore akira toriyama.
I'm genuinely excited for this one. There's something so alluring to me about a good desert wasteland game (I blame Desert Punk), and this one is looking very promising!
I think you've hit the nail on the head - as long as it's not a fetch quest extravaganza and the world is interestingly populated, this could be brilliant
The only thing I'm worried about is time consuming traversal in a unnecessary large world; a molasses slow tutorial; and long-ass unskippable dialogue.
Nothing about a JRPG set in a vast desert screams fast-paced.
looks really good and gives me ps2 era vibes that ive been longing for, unfortunately again im just not into anime but people that are have been lucky this gen.
For rpgs I like a variety of locations I wish they showed more locations in the trailer if there is more maybe I’m just being picky but all I see is sand and a bit of grass😂
Looks really cute and fun but I again question the depth of the game from what I've seen. It looks like it'll be fun for 6-8 hours then get boring.
