Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has been awarded a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media, a rare nod from the more established mainstream award industry. Jedi: Survivor beat out the likes of God of War Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical for the honour.
Stephen Barton and Gory Haab received the award at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday 4th, February, an event which was marred by some small controversy. Run the Jewels rapper Killer Mike, after he secured three awards for himself, was arrested after an alleged physical altercation backstage.
The award is a new one, which debuted last year and went to Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok. It should go a long way to soothing developer Respawn Entertainment's apparent snubbing at The Game Awards. Protagonist Cal Kestis actor Dominic Monaghan was up for Best Performance, which ultimately went to Astarion actor Neil Newbon (Baldur's Gate 3).
