There's a few things I might grab here, including Venba which I've been waiting to go on sale for a while. Maybeee Thirsty Suitors, too!
Quite tempted by Prince of Persia at that price tbh
@PaperAlien agreed, that is the price I was waiting for (always count on Ubisoft overcharging on launch, get disappointed by initial sales and drop the price in a few months to acceptable levels).
Days gone is a steal for that price.
Got Prince of Persia! Been waiting to work through my backlog a bit but for that price I just had to grab it.
This always reminds me of how incredibly overpriced digital games are, for no particular reason. A digital full price is forever a worse deal than a physical edition.
FC24 is at an all time low as well, Euro 24 mode coming in soon
Man I wish I could play Days gone for the first time again. And at that price it's a steal, I hope everyone who haven't played it yet will do now.
<<< lowest prices ever for >>>
Titanfall 2 Standard Edition - £1.79
Immortals Fenyx Rising — £8.99
STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order Deluxe Edition — £5.49
Metro Exodus: Gold Edition — £5.24
@PerpetualBoredom Well, a physical game you either have to leave your home and procure, which takes time, or buy it online and wait for it to arrive, which again, takes time. Digital I have that s**t in what, 30 seconds? So go ahead and consider it a convenience fee and stop your whining lol
@PerpetualBoredom then don’t buy it
Hades is hardly a highlight, can be bought physically for a while now for a tenner.
For a moment I thought Daya Gone was really on sale.
@Sanquine Days Gone was a really good game that I think a lot of people dismissed because of TLoU comparisons. I loved continually upgrading the motorcycle and driving around from point to point. Plus the hordes were a fairly unique gameplay element
Can definitely recommend Prince of Persia. Loved it a lot!
I'm considering The Forest since I heard it was a good survival/crafting game. The horror elements are my main concern. Is it like… sh*tting my pants constantly level or more just constantly on edge level hahaha
Might get Hades since there’s nothing else I want.
I hope Baldurs Gate 3 gets a decent sale soon, I’ll bite at £35 I think.
@TrickyDicky99 Well he means you've bought it. With physical you won't have it in your hands, back at home, for either 1-2 days if you buy online, or perhaps a few hours if you buy in person. Right now it's late at night here. I could be paying Prince of Persia in probably 90 minutes. Or I could wait until the day after tomorrow if I order online. Or I could wait hours until tomorrow and then spend a couple of hours going out of my way to buy it in person.
Why do these threads always decend into physical vs. Digital debates? Both have strengths, both have weaknesses. Some people prefer one, some people prefer the other.
On topic, going to pick up Prince on Persia I think. Been looking at it for a while amd that price is much easier to justify.
@Jey887 Because the price differences are just not okay. These deals/prices just aren’t that special. It’s an unfair situation, since you don’t have any other choice than buying from the PS store when you have a digital PS5.
If you're a fan of the older Vanillaware titles I definitely recommend having a look at Sword of the Vagrant for £2.79. It's pretty much a love letter to games like Muramasa Rebirth and Odin Sphere. Great little game.
@Shigurui just bought it (for £2.39)! Wasn't even aware of its existence for some reason. Cheers!
@tangyzesty
Absolutely right on the "convenience fee" concept. That's exactly how I see it and why a lot of my games are digital these days.
Don't get me wrong if I can get it cheaper on physical media, buy pre-owned, or want to support a Day 1 title launch (I'm a sucker for steel books) i'll buy physical, but most of the time it's cheaper and more convenient to buy digital.
Hades is great at that price, tempted with Soul Hackers too. Might have to have a look later and see what else tickles my fancy.
@TrickyDicky99 it's probably closer to 3-5 minutes, but it feels like 30 seconds. I'm a slut for fast internet.
I've got several of these in my library already, but I'm sure I didn't buy them.
I'm guessing they must have been free on PS Plus at some point (Days Gone, Hot Wheels Unleashed etc)?
@naruball - I grabbed it myself, played it on Steam a few years back and really enjoyed it. It's not as polished as a Vanillaware game but it's a solid knockoff. Enjoy!
@PerpetualBoredom before digital availability we all thought “oh if it was just digital they won’t have to pay for packaging, shipping, it’ll be better for the environment!, it’ll be so much cheaper!”
Never happened
Lame
Removed - flaming/arguing
@tangyzesty What is this, dogpiling? Of course you can consider it as "convenience", but it's actually the industry bending you over for greater profit margins.
Whatever floats your boat, but it will never be a viable decision, just cognitive dissonance.
Buy physical, share it with friends!
@PerpetualBoredom if that’s trolling you’ve never been TRULY trolled before.
There are good mods on this site, so I won’t roll up my sleeves and show you how it can go. 😉
@Dusk_Actual oh my, look what a tough guy you are!
@PerpetualBoredom hahaha two weeks late with it
