In collaboration with next week's Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movie hitting cinemas, Destiny 2 will be getting in on the supernatural fun with some themed items for the looter shooter. Unlike it's recent hoverboard update, though, these are more likely to appear in the premium Eververse store rather than be dished out to all players for free. The game's Twitter account teases three new items, as seen in the post below.
You shall be able to get a new Ghost skin that's surrounded by the classic green ghosts, there's a Sparrow modified with horns and claws, and then what might be a hoverboard dressed up as the famous Ectomobile. They'll be available from 19th March 2024, with the film out three days later.
Since Sony now owns both developer Bungie and the Ghostbusters franchise by way of Columbia Pictures, it's easy to see how this collaboration came about. Would you buy any of these? Let us know in the comments below.

Yes, Push Square, that's all I've got.
@BeerIsAwesome yeah Bungie has WAY WAY bigger problems (built before the acquisition) than having Sony marketing in game lol
Oh, my... One of very few things I still did like in Destiny was its setting and universe, providing such a good level of immersion. But these stupid integrations feel neither here nor there.
I know this is marketing, but since nobody is playing d2 they are doing what they can to try and interest somebody, anybody into playing the game. They also added witch queen to ps+ to try and help. I stopped playing d2 years ago now but anyone still playing should welcome help from Sony because Bungie isn’t making it happen themselves.
I HATE these stupid crossover things, in all games.
They just added the hoverboards and there's no ornament for that. Everyone has immediately stopped using sparrows because hoverboards are better in every way, so big oops on that.
Can a day pass without a senseless crossover? Just now they also announced cowboy bebop X overwatch 2. Bebop's the best, but it won't get me to ever touch a blizzard game. Same goes for Ghostbusters.
Pretty unfortunate that they have to resort to these totally out-of-pocket crossovers to generate any kind of revenue for the game. At least the Witcher and Mass Effect gear look like they are lore appropriate, but a Slimer ghost and a Cadillac? Come on, Sony. You can do better...
These bizarre crossovers are some of the biggest turnoffs in games for me. I want escapism in games - not a constant reminder of real-world marketing deals.
If something was ever going to get me interested in Destiny....well, this isn't it.
@BeerIsAwesome In Fortnite is all works yet looks so out of place in Destiny.
If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. The ghost shell and sparrow aren’t too bad…but Ecto as a ship? Not my thing.
Hahahah this is laughably crass cross promo. What’s next, Burger King armour?
