Sydney Bernice Sweeney is an incredibly popular American actress best known for her performances in TV series like The White Lotus and Euphoria and films like Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Madame Web, and Anyone But You. She also recently sparked some intense (relatively speaking) speculation as to which The Simpsons racer she might have been referring to in a Madame Web-related interview with IGN.
Doing the sort of journalism for which awards are given, IGN continued to pull at this essential thread after Sweeney mentioned she grew up with a brother who played a lot of games. When asked which was her favourite, she said, "We would play The Simpsons game," and mimed driving. As GameSpot sagely noted, given Sweeney's age (26), 2001's Road Rage and spiritual successor Hit & Run seem like the most likely contenders.
IGN managed to catch up with Sweeney again, this time under the auspices of discussing the actress's upcoming horror film, Immaculate. Still, we suspect the real reason was to get to the bottom of this The Simpsons situation, and get to the bottom of it they did: "I want to say it was the racing game."
With the assistance of IGN employee Jeffrey Vega, it was ultimately determined that the game in question was, indeed, Road Rage. And while both The Simpsons games were available on PS2, The Sweeney's, it seems, preferred another platform: "Road Rage! Because it was old, it was on the Xbox. I always liked Homer."
There you have it — the answer to a question that has kept us up for days on end, finally answered. Do you have a preference between The Simpsons: Road Rage and Hit & Run? What do you think of Sweeney's decision to play as Homer? Let us know in the comments section below.

"Doing the sort of journalism for which awards are given" and you proceeded to do the same thing, although being sarcastic all the way to "There you have it — the answer to a question that has kept us up for days on end, finally answered."
Are you ok? Blink twice if you're being forced to write articles against your will.
The game was so bad Sega successfully sued as the blatant rip off it was. Some people have no taste (you'll find them playing foam stars).
Ah you cant slam up a picture of a PS2 Simpsons title, and then when I read the headline its just fluff, not the announcement of it being playable/remastered
Road Rage < Hit & Run
I hate to comment like this but...why is this news?

Feels a bit like when your nan says something vaguely about video games and you correct her in front of all the family and look a right c*nt.
@AK4tywill I hate to answer like this, but there are two reasons why. Two giant reasons. Two massive, big ole reasons. And if you guess one reason correctly, you've guessed the other too 😂
Didn't even know who she was before this.
@GKT well done old boy! 😂
Jesus christ. Why post this crap?
Stick to reviews and actual news.
Why is the media machine so behind her? I'm getting old so maybe I'm out of the loop but what has she done to garner such attention. I see so many random articles about her but outside of the horrible Madame Web I know nothing about her.
