Pre-orders for physical copies of the PS5’s upcoming Stellar Blade have opened in South Korea, and the goodies are stunning. As spotted by a Shift Up fan account, buyers can choose between a vinyl soundtrack or a themed USB stick, with the former sporting some particularly fetching artwork. In fact, we’re not sure why this isn’t the box art, because it looks absolutely incredible.
The themed USB stick also looks good, but we doubt it’s going to prove as popular as the vinyl. It’s worth remembering that in a recent interview, director Hyung-Tae Kim told us there’ll be about 100 songs on the soundtrack, and many of them will feature vocals. A little under half of the songs have been composed by Keiichi Okabe of NieR fame.
There’s obviously no word on the vinyl making its way overseas, but we sincerely hope Sony considers it, as this looks like a great collectors item to own. Is this something you’d be interested in purchasing? Spin up your thoughts in the comments section below.

I don't even have a record player but I'd definitely get that!
@Futureshark Haha I feel exactly the same!
Now that is a pre order item worth getting for sure
Yeah it seems like a real missed opportunity to have that as the box art it would definitely get people's attention, I would also pick that vinyl in a heartbeat.
Damn! Just checked GAME and amazon UK and the only preorder bonuses are early unlocks of costumes which is a shame. Really like the look of that vinyl as well
@MrMagic that would indeed be a much better boxart. I haven't known about this game , then that type of boxart would convince me of buying it.
I love waking up on a Sunday morning knowing ive got a whole day off, going downstairs before everyone else wakes up, making a coffee and going in my front room with the mood lights on and blasting some vinyl. This would make an excellent addition to the collection.
I love collecting vinyl records I'll never play 😅
If the limited edition with vinyl would come to Europe, I would definitely pre-order it.
@GeminiReign i will look him up 👍
It's great to see a studio like this go all in on a game like this. Succeed or fail no one can say it's because they didn't believe in the game.
Okabe doing half of the OST. Damn didn't know that!
Would be cool as collectors thing for overseas but as box-art no.. too much Star Wars-ish imo.
It looks like it could be a 1980s movie poster.haha.which is a good thing.word up son
Awkward moment when Sony print the game data on the vinyl and the soundtrack on the play disc though...
Pretty cool ngl
The cover is pretty sweet, and I would also get that vinyl if I could.
Vinyl record covers are always treats on the eyes. I have a small collection of vidya game vinyls and I really want to invest in some hanging wall mounts for them to show the art off.
@Futureshark investing in a good (but not ridiculous) vinyl player was one of my better impulse purchases over the last five years. There's something special about the sound that can only be quantified as warm and cosy.
Music is so important in video games. If its music is bland/boring, I’m less likely to play. If it’s anything like Nier’s OST, I’m pumped. I have faith Okabe (hope I spelled that right) can deliver some banger pieces.
Stellar Blade looks more and more like a Day 1 purchase for me. Hopefully it feels like a complete game without needing DLC and a huge expansion post-launch to clear things up.
Which region is getting the blow up dolls?
