Publisher Atari has been bringing back all kinds of old school series lost to the annals of time, and its latest is soon to leave its stint in early access with a full launch. That game is NeoSprint, a modern take on the company's top-down, multiplayer racing series, coming this summer to PS5 and PS4.
With an emphasis on "arcade-era single-screen racing", NeoSprint presents players with a colourful, isometric racer with a full campaign and plenty of other modes. There are obstacle courses and time trials to master, as well as a Grand Prix mode and of course local multiplayer for up to eight players. You can fully customise your vehicle, and there's even a full-blown track creator, allowing you to build unique courses and share them with other players.
What do you think of NeoSprint? Are you down for some retro-style racing action? Rev your engines in the comments section below.

This looks fun! Up to 8 players and a DIY track editor. Definitely getting Super Sprint vibes.
Loved Super Sprint and Championship sprint back in the day. They were hard to control though!
Day one for me. Looks great.
Day one also, love top down or isometric racers. Control gotta to be on point mind u🤞🤞
I'm really liking the direction that Atari have been taking since the current CEO joined. Maximising their legacy, investing in remaster expert devs and creating new games that play to their strengths.
Considering the hell the brand has been through at various points in the past, it's great to see it healthy and appreciated again.
If you're into retro racing get yourself hot shot racing from the ps store. Currently 1.99 euros. Did so myself last night and a great time !
You can build your own tracks?!?!
Looks like it could be a blast. I need a bunch of those old steering wheels that you could just spin and spin, though...!
Super sprint was such fun back in the day. If this can recreate that feel, I'm in!
Supercars and Supercars 2 (had to look those up to verify my memory..) were great on the Amiga back in the Nineties. This game might be somewhat fun, too.
Super sprint is still amazing, this looks terrible. Gone is the gorgeous pixel art. Replaced with the usual flash game crappy visual style. Also Super sprint was unique in its control, where you spinned the wheel. Can never replicate that at home unfortunately.
Definitely checking out the reviews at launch. I loved the PS3 MotorStorm's top down racer. Sony need's to remake the original MotorStorm game's and remaster the top down spin off too.
@DanteDevilHunter I loved motorstorm apocalypse. So much fun
Super Sprint was the bomb back in the day. Loved Micro Machines and Nitro too. Speaking of which, if you are after a more modern Micro Machines, check out Topdown Turbos
I used to love Badlands. I'd defo play that again.
@Tiger77 thanks for the suggestion... Really good fun to play 😊
Reminds me of Ironman Super Off-road, Imma definitely check this out. Cheers.
