Mortal Kombat 1 hasn’t quite exploded like previous entries in the franchise, which will perhaps leave developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros wondering why. Still, there’s promised post-release content to be produced, and next in line is Ermac, who’ll be available from 16th April for Kombat Pack owners and 23rd April for peasants.
The blurb introduces: “In the new video, Ermac’s devastating moveset is on full display, including his ability to teleport, levitate, and utilize a legion of souls to grab, lift, and slam opponents to the ground.” To be honest, this trailer is pretty tame by Mortal Kombat standards, although the Fatality at the end will have you watching through your fingers.

It should be noted that the trailer also introduces Mavado, a new Kameo fighter who will be available to download in May as well. How are you feeling about these new arrivals? Fight back in the comments section below.

Just a heads up, you have an Error Macro in your title
If MK had the smooth animations of Tekken or Soul Calibur it would be my top fighting game.
sooo, what are the problems of MK1, exactly?
@Blacksmith1985 for me personally it's a lack of content. I found the much hyped invasion mode to be a repetitive grind and beyond the story I haven't found anything to keep me coming back.
Should say I am not into online fighting at all. I'm not good enough at them to justify wasting my time
@Pinkman matchmaking is really good in MK1.
they never throw at you someone who is too much skilled or too lame. I feel a good healthy challenge most of the time.
@Blacksmith1985 After playing tekken 8, I feel that this one is too slow for me, and I also think gameplay is a step backwards from MK 11, which I prefer for not having kameos, and for feeling more fluid.
@J2theEzzo ive always thought MK11 is the superior Beat em up compared to 1. The combat was solid, good roster without cameos tacked on, fantastic customisation with regards to your characters etc and the krypt was pretty cool too.
@Blacksmith1985 Lack of content is my issue and the fact NR won't bother balancing online. Once i finished Invasions this season and unlocked all the seasonal Mileena skins i stopped playing as there was no reason to keep playing.
I used to hold court at the arcade for hours on an MK2 or MK3/UMK3 machine. Modern fighting games are honestly too complex for me, like I don't have the time to learn all their systems and everything. MK One was the same. I know that's on me but it's why I don't play fighting games anymore, despite MK being unquestionably my favorite series in the past.
@Kidfunkadelic83 Yup! I also grabbed that one in a sale and got the deluxe edition for 20 quid, so I can't fault how good a deal that was. The most fun I've had playing MK since 9.
@J2theEzzo yeah its cheap as chips when on sale.
So happy they gave him a mask 😅
