Sony and Shift Up have put out a new Stellar Blade trailer to mark the PS5 exclusive's launch, with the release date set for tomorrow, 26th April 2024. Like a lot of launch trailers, the two-minute slice of footage features a lot of cutscenes and stretches of gameplay we haven't seen before, so you might want to skip it given the full launch is so close. Still, you can catch it above.
Our Stellar Blade PS5 review went live yesterday with an 8/10 rating, concluding: "With an ever-evolving counter-attacking combat system, some superb art direction, and a sensational soundtrack, this is the kind of back-to-basics PS5 outing that fans have been pleading for. A dire English dub and some trite story beats mean the studio still has plenty of room to refine its craft, but Eve’s inaugural outing is largely excellent across the board, and destined to become a firm favourite among PS5 enthusiasts."

We also have a full walkthrough now published on the site, which will guide you through the locations of all the game's collectibles, upgrade items, and more. Check out our Stellar Blade guide through the link. Are you playing Stellar Blade tomorrow? Let us know in the comments below.

Super excited for this. Roll on tomorrow! Just found out that my wife (who is currently overseas visiting family) preordered the game for me! And there was me thinking this is the one game that she wouldn’t really approve of. After 29 years of marriage, that woman still has the ability to surprise me. She’s an angel.
@mariomaster96 Agreed. I think when you see the final product tomorrow, people will realize its a big ghost chase and just the same talking points screaming into the echochamber about censorship. There's no validity to anything about their claims and honestly it is not a big deal on that front.
@ErrantRob Seems like I was mistaken. The racist slur one was the first post about "censorship" I found online so I thought that's what he was talking about but appearently to some reddit post they actually censored at least on outfit (with pictures as proof)
edit: And I did a bit more research and appearently that's fake lol. Guess we'll see tomorrow
@The_Pixel_King
I removed mine because there is a chance the “censorship” of the outfits is a mistake or faked. I’ll post again if it’s shown to be true.
I'm excited for the game. I have my pre-order downloaded and ready to play.
I am so ready! It feels like we’ve been waiting forever
@thefourfoldroot1, I've seen a couple of videos of the alleged costume censorship as well (in addition to the photo), but at this stage it's hard to be sure.
One theory is that the version shipped on the physical disc is an even earlier build than the one reviewers/digital buyers got. So while the day one patch didn't censor anything for review copies & digital owners (since their copies were already edited), it does do so for physical owners.
So essentially unpatched physical would be a ver. 1.0 (uncensored), unpatched digital/review copy would be ver. 1.01 (censored), & day one patch brings everyone up to ver. 1.02 (ads the 1.01 edits to physical owners, & new game+ & other additions for everyone).
@RR529
That theory is rubbish!
Simply looking at the stylisation of the game makes it clear the devs wouldn’t suddenly gain an aversion to exposed skin immediately before sending it for review.
I smell Sony’s malodorous influence.
My only hope is that the new costumes added with the NG+ patch have somehow either gotten mixed up, and it’s causing people’s costumes to be switched with new ones, or some type of “balancing” has taken place to make base game costumes slightly less revealing in order to make the NG+ ones seem more rewarding by being ultra revealing.
I doubt any of that is the case.
@thefourfoldroot1, Just so I can put my money where my mouth is, here are the two videos I've seen with the alleged "uncensored" version of the costume in question (no mesh over her chest, & less cloth around thighs).

For the record, even if this does end up being true, it's not a huge deal & certainly won't stop me from playing the game, it's just that I think for clarity's sake I think it should be known that it might be true (and even if it is, there's certainly the possibility that the "uncensored" version is an alternate style or unlocked in NG+ now). We'll just have to wait & see until new information is revealed once more people have the game in their hands.
@RR529
It wouldn’t stop me playing the game, but it would stop me giving Sony / the publisher money. I’d just get the physical (uncensored) version secondhand.
The struggle is that I’m pretty sure it would be a Sony edict to change, but more honesty from the publisher would be required for me to give them my support and to care about their earnings
