SunnySide is another farming-based life sim, but its rural Japan setting and fairly realistic appearance makes it stand out in what has become a crowded genre. The game looks promising in its release date trailer, which boasts of an intriguing core story, over 25 characters to forge friendships with, and plenty of optional activities.
The press release also reveals that SunnySide has... "a cozy turn-based battle system". Apparently, your custom character meets an ancient "survey drone" who needs your help in exploring a cave network below town. Interesting.
Anyway, SunnySide is out for PS5 on the 10th July. Is it on your radar? Start planting some crops in the comments section below.

This looks great.
I'm totally into this. Especially as a summer game, I like to play chill titles. It says though that it comes to consoles July 10. Which one is the correct date for ps5?
That frame rate like all of these kinds of games seems appalling lol. Still i will inform her indoors 👍
Like the look of this one!
24th of May is the release date for pc while consoles release date is 10th of July
This definitely looks like a bit of me. A great bedtime Portal game methinks.
@Jill_Sandwich Sorry, yes, 10th July on PS5 — was going by the PC release date, which is part of the headline in the press release! Article is correct now.
@Mikey856 don't think frame rate matters at all with chill games like this, at least you're keeping your eye out for games for you mum, though!
I wish they'd gone with a more anime look but I'm on board with the setting for sure.
