The official Alan Wake 2 soundtrack, composed by Petri Alanko, will be made available across a variety of platforms for streaming and purchase from tomorrow. 35 music tracks designed to capture "the emotion, tension, and mystery of the game’s story" will be streamable on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and more while it can be purchased on iTunes and Amazon.
The musical release also coincides with the 14th anniversary of the first game, which was made playable on PS5, PS4 via Alan Wake Remastered in 2021. "From the haunting melodies that underscore the game’s more introspective moments to the scarier, more intense sections, composer and musician Petri Alanko has created a musical masterpiece as memorable as the game itself," a press release teases.
Alanko himself said: "From a composer's point of view, the soundtrack has no filler, with each musical cue emphasizing a certain sequence of events that fans have experienced on screen. I hope the result is as pleasing to you as it is to myself, and trust me, I carefully thought about the soundtrack. To me, be it a movie soundtrack or a video game soundtrack, it should work as an entity in and of itself."

YES. Having had both the “Chapter Songs” EP and the “REBIRTH - Greatest Hits” album from the Old Gods of Asgard basically on repeat ever since I finished AWII, this will be surely a must-listen for me. The score was so integral to the game experience, and I can’t wait to experience it on its own merit. 🎵🌟
Can’t wait to listen to this. Also trying really hard to wait for a third play through until the DLC comes out but I find myself thinking about this game all the time.
Finally! Been waiting for this since the release of the game.
Very nice.
So how's the physical copy coming along, cause many people haven't touched this game because of that. I can wait. Take your time
@Specky I am one of those people.. won’t touch it until it’s physical.. is that even in the works???
@WolfyTn probably. There is no doubt they left some money on the table not releasing physical. Although I think the game’s sales were weakened more by Epic exclusivity on PC rather than a lack of physical at launch. Regardless I hope they release physical so more people get to experience it! Same reason I hope it finds its way to steam!
Just looking forward to POE getting some more exposure.
This is nice and everything, but it would be nice to hear about the DLCs already. It has been more than 6 months...
The end of chapter songs they made in collaboration with artists are spectacular. Follow You Into the Dark is haunting. No One Left to Love is one of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. The vocals are just next level, and she is so passionate. Definitely gonna check out the rest of the soundtrack now, but look into the chapter songs if you haven't
@IamJT
Oh noes! Pc nerds need to make their 15th account to play on PC...
Which they obviously won't as we've seen before with Helldivers 2. 14 accounts is the limit lmao
