Enormous asymmetrical horror outing Dead by Daylight is showing no signs of slowing, with its eighth anniversary ushering in some enormous collaborations. Dungeons & Dragons is the latest intellectual property to invade the series, with an upcoming expansion adding iconic villain Vecna as a new Killer and a Bard as a Survivor. Konami’s Castlevania will also infiltrate the series later in the year, although details are being kept under wraps for now.
For those who’ve tired of the traditional 1v4 format, a new game mode will take the player count to ten, with two Killers facing off against eight Survivors. A press release reads: “To ramp up the action, several gameplay adjustments have been made including the replacement of Perks for what essentially amounts to a class system and the addition of Cages instead of Hooks. More information on the 2v8 Game Mode will be revealed in a future livestream this July.”
Elsewhere, those who prefer single player games may want to pay attention to The Casting of Frank Stone, a spin-off story from original Until Dawn developer Supermassive Games. The new trailer showcases a little bit more of plot, which involves a haunted mill and a bunch of teenagers eager to shoot a movie in the most inappropriate place possible. This looks like a fairly typical branching narrative affair, but it should help Dead by Daylight appeal to a new audience.

I was so confused when I saw the Dead By Daylight title and what looked like Thanos in the thumbnail.
Sad that we're getting all these Castlevania cross-over contents but no actual new Castlevania games on the horizon.
This is great, but it would be better if Castlevania finally had a new standalone game. I want a game that stands independently and doesn't need anybody else to back it up.
wow this…might actually make me re-install the game after years of dropping it
