Update: Activision has now posted to Twitter that this year's Call of Duty game is now officially called Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The full reveal will take place next month following the Xbox Games Showcase on 9th June 2024.

Original article: Activision has officially begun teasing this year's Call of Duty game with a website and a short clip that puts the slogan "The Truth Lies" over the eyes of former USA presidents at Mount Rushmore. The website features an old television set that allows you to watch different clips across six channels. You'll find the website link and the Mount Rushmore video in the tweet below.

This year's title comes from Treyarch, and is widely believed to be another entry in the Call of Duty sub-series Black Ops. The latest suggestions are it's simply called Black Ops 6 and releases in October. A full reveal will take place following the Xbox Games Showcase on 9th June 2024.

Former PS Plus leaker Billbil-Kun then got in on the act by posting what they claim to be a blurred image of the game's key art. You can make out a man and the colour orange! Here's the picture:

Given that Microsoft now owns Activision, it's claimed the company will follow through on its plans to bundle the next Call of Duty game in with Xbox Game Pass. However, changes will need to be made to the membership service to accommodate it — a price rise seems likely. The title will release as usual on PS5 and PS4, though.
