Returning WWE fan-favourite CM Punk is the headline addition of the first WWE 2K24 DLC pack, releasing this coming Wednesday, 15th May 2024. His first appearance in the games since WWE 2K15, the wrestler will be part of the ECW Punk Pack, which also includes tag-team partners Bubba Ray Dudley, D-Von Dudley, and Sandman and Terry Funk.
After the first DLC drop, another four expansions will arrive between June and November, each themed around different personalities. Post Malone and his friends are part of the second pack, Pat McAfee is in the third on 24th July, a Global Superstars Pack bolsters the roster further in September, and then a final WCW Pack concludes things in November.
If you bought either the Deluxe or Forty Years of WrestleMania versions of WWE 2K24, then you already own the season pass that'll grant you access to CM Punk and the four other packs. If not, the season pass costs £32.99 / $39.99. In previous instalments, individual DLC packs have cost £8.99 / $9.99, so you could acquire CM Punk that way also.
The WWE 2K games have been getting better and better after a dramatic dip in quality a handful of years ago, with WWE 2K24 considered "another confident entry" in our 8/10-rated PS5 review. "The amount of content on offer is absolutely staggering, with grapple fans certain to delight in at least one of the many available modes and 200+ available Superstars," we concluded. "Some visual inconsistencies and a somewhat lacklustre WrestleMania Showcase let the side down, but beyond that, WWE 2K24 is another strong, if safe, entry in the 2K-driven WWE series."
Will you be playing as CM Punk later this week in WWE 2K24? Let us know in the comments below.

Looking forward to this. Solid roster for DLC.
if I can get the game cheap enough I'll get the DLC for Punk and Kairi. Haven't played a wwe since, well, the last game Punk was in.
Ive really enjoyed this years game, with some of the improvements being subtle but making a big difference (eg last year created superstars/attires clothing textures and geometry were severly reduced, this year they are not).
My Rise mens is good, My Rise womens is barmy.
Showcase is good if you can look past the fact that in trying to cover so much, they miss a LOT of classic matches - but massive props for including the firefly funhouse match between Bray Wyatt (RIP) and Cena in all its glory.
Not too enthusiastic about some of the dlc choices though (im not a big Punk fan), and there are too many guest stars in the next few dlc's.
It isnt perfect, and most move sets (and a lot of stats) are still really inaccurate, but at least you can change them.
But overall a good game - dont really see where they go for next years game, and i will probably give it a miss. I was on the fence about this years and only got it because they added Funhouse Bray and Fiend.
Jeez so I’m gonna have to wait until September for Kairi? 😭 Didn’t the last WWE game like start DLC in May and then have every character out by like August?
A news article that still shocks me. It’s like I stepped into a separate universe.
