The climactic conclusion to Destiny 2 is almost upon us, with Bungie's eagerly anticipated expansion, The Final Shape, just days away, touching down on PS5 and PS4 on 4th June. It brings to a close the current Light and Darkness story saga, which began back in 2017. A suitably cinematic trailer has been released ahead of launch, and it's hard not to feel a pang of nostalgia.
Players can expect to tangle with a new enemy faction, mixing subclass abilities to create previously unimaginable builds in line with this expanding threat. Bungie will be undoing its controversial decision to "sunset" beloved war gear from the game's past, adding an element of unpredictability, as well as currently offering "Expansion Open Access" to allow returning players to catch up on select DLC they may have missed for free right up until The Final Shape launches.
