God of War Ragnarok PC Officially Confirmed for 19th September

Putting this in a State of Play where almost everybody is watching for PS5 games was certainly a choice.

@Orpheus79V Yeah it’s silly, and when you couple it with remakes and remasters plus a mid-looking live service game you got a bad event only saved by Astro Bot imo.

@AverageGamer Sony's PC announcements in State of Play and PS Showcase are PS5/PC announcements the vast majority of the time. Those events having PC announcements of games that already have a PS5 version only happened twice:

• June 2022 - Spider-Man PC
• May 2024 - GoW Ragnarok PC

The PSN requirement of a single player game is asinine.

But that leaves what...TLOU2, Spiderman 2 , Stellar Blade, Demon Souls and now AstroBot for major exclusives left that are likely soon headed to PC. Ok maybe not Astro Bot...but I can dream!

So Sony says they want to get PC players playing their games then entice them to buy a PS5 for the sequel. Hmm…this sure fits in with that strategy!

Cool! I will hold off on buying it for PS5.

Best announcement of the entire presentation. Can't wait to get this running on my Steam Deck OLED soon.

Stop the whining . It’s sony showing they are becoming more transparent with their games. Why do people have to sulk like toddlers about the most minor things . I don’t care if sony release all their games on all platforms . Why? It doesn’t affect me . I can still play it and enjoy it and others can too . Silly people

I love how Sony thinks their fanbase is tuning in to a PLAYSTATION game show and wants to see announcements of PC ports it's a joke. Look I've made my on the PC ports clear I hate it and I think Playstation is making a huge mistake but if they have to exist just announce the ports with a PS Blog post or put a random trailer on YouTube. I'm sorry you can call it whining if you want maybe I am but I find it absolutely disgraceful that they give absolutely nothing for so long and then during a game announcement live stream announce a PC port of Playstation biggest iconic brand no less? How am I supposed to feel about that as a fan and loyal customer? Because right now I feel like PlayStation cares more about PC users than their own actual audience

My only question is how well this will run on the Steam Deck, as I would prefer to play it that way if I play it on PC. It has come out on PS4, so it should be fine. But... I already have it on PS5, so not sure if I'll double dip.
