Bandai Namco and developer Supermassive Games have announced Little Nightmares 3 won't be making it out in 2024 after all. The new entry in the cult hit horror platformer series has been pushed back to 2025.
This announcement comes via social media, with a statement from the team explaining why the delay is happening:
"As much as we can't wait for you to return to the Nowhere, we also want to make sure we give the game the care and love it deserves," it says. "Quality is a top priority for us, and we know you feel the same way.
For this reason, we've made the decision to shift the release of the game to 2025."
The silver lining is that the team is planning to share more about the game "later this summer", perhaps at Gamescom, so we'll at least be seeing more of it fairly soon.
Little Nightmares 3 looks to be more of the same unsettling puzzle platforming goodness, only this time it features two player co-op. Are you looking forward to it? Hop into the comments section below.

I’m a fan of those games. Quality should always be priority number 1 when developing games! Fixing a game after release is a bad move whatever the reason. Bad for gamers but also for the reputation of those devs.
I loved LN1 and bought LN2 as soon as it was available for PS5, but it's still on my backlog. 🙈 I'm planning to play LN2 this October. Needless to say, but I'm more than ok waiting for LN3 to be the best it can be.
@Pusher2021 @Malaise totally agree.
The system we have now is just awesome that they can update on the fly, back in the day a game breaking bug would ship with games and that was that.
But at some.point the tides turned and the system out in place for this type of thing was abused by publishers to get the game out to hit a certain deadline and it became the norm and not the minority.
I guess the saving grace to that is, games can come out in early access for half the price so smaller developers can patch and make a game with community feedback. Yang and yang really.
Hold fire and release a polished product gets a massive thumbs up from me
scrolling through games n still got 2nd on backlog got me thinking wait what's happened about the 3rd well now I know 🤣😭 great games though😎
