We hope your calendars are clear over the next few months, because the games industry is pretending E3 is still alive with numerous showcase events this summer. The latest publisher hopping on the bandwagon is THQ Nordic, as it's bringing back the THQ Nordic Showcase this August.
The company made the announcement recently on its socials:
It name-drops a couple of games that'll be included, like the Gothic remake and Titan Quest II. However, it's also teasing some new announcements as well as updates on known titles, so it'll hopefully be worth tuning in.
THQ Nordic's event is broadcast on 2nd August 2024 at 12pm PDT/3pm EDT/8pm BST/9pm CEST/10pm EEST. Will you be watching? Which games are you hoping to see during the presentation? Discuss in the comments section below.

It's a little late to be included classed as part of the imaginary E3, but it is still good to see these showcases adding up. I'll be watching, that's for sure...
I need that Darksiders 4
And a proper Kingdom's Of Amalur sequel would be pretty fire lol
It's getting kinda busy. If only there was a long weekend at some point in the calendar, probably best to have it in the summer months when releases tend to be a bit quieter, where all the big publishers and platforms could get together and go through their announcements sequentially. Heck, they could invite media to try games and do previews, and the event could be great for teams to network with one another and speak to publishers. They could call it the Expo of Electronic Entertainment, or 3E for short, or something like that. I bet the consumers would love it and it would build a lot of hype!
I would love a Sacred 2 GOLD remaster port for the consoles
Darksiders please!
Maybe be good but eh. Haven't bothered with many THQ Nordic games in a while really. I see them in bargain bins and while probably good just aren't my thing even if they are still very creative titles.
I'd be all for a Darksiders 4, Genesis is a good prequel and a good spin on the series after the souls focus of 3 (wasn't into at all, even then still stuck on the 3rd boss, I can grind souls and this and that and still probably be just bored or not getting anywhere due to not lasting long with the strategies) and remasters of 1 & 2.
But a proper Strife game to explain the events for them besides just Strife/War in Genesis would be nice. Also how they lost their guns that War/Death ended up picking up it's not much that needs explaining but I'd still like to hear such events play out or play as Strife on their own.
An Amalur sequel or other IPs would be nice too won't deny that.
