The UK's physical games chart often proves how unimaginative most British buyers are, especially when the new releases dry up. We're in one of those moments right now, where the top 10 is mostly full of the games you'd expect. For example, EA Sports FC 24 earns itself another number one, with nearly two thirds of the copies sold being for PS5/PS4.
Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is the only thing keeping Hogwarts Legacy from a comfy seat in second place, while Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate makes its return in fourth place thanks to some hefty discounts. Football Manager 2024 is also back in the mix at number eight, and Grand Theft Auto V sneaks back in at number 10. Outside of some Nintendo titles adding a splash of colour, there's little to get enthused about here. Hopefully we'll be able to type some different game titles in the coming weeks.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical sales only):

Ghost of Tsushima will spike next week.
Stellar Blade dropped off faster than I thought it would. I think we know what's going to be top next week and I'm quite looking forward to getting my copy of Paper Mario on Thursday.
Quite surprised to see FC 24 still in these charts considering it's "free" with PS Plus and Gamepass.
Hogwarts legacy still in the top ten, guess the boycott still going strong lol.
GTA V is unbelievable. Aside from the fact the game isn't that great, who still doesn't own it? Baffling.
This is the most generic UK top 10 of all time
@UltimateOtaku91 FC24 has a huge casual audience that probably don't buy Plus for the games. Not to mention that it was the end of the Premier League season so that would have spiked sales.
@MickOnYourFace People are always going to continue to fornicate, thus producing offspring, thus being introduced to games on consistent basis - On the other hand; I've noticed kids these days are barely aware of anything beyond their own lifespan, so I could just be talking absolute twaddle 🙂
@MickOnYourFace Was just about to type similar to @ironcrow86 he saved me the hassle. In short some titles are evergreen (Minecraft, GTAV, Mario Kart etc.) and as new gamers are made everyday they are always in or around the charts.
@UltimateOtaku91
Been a lot of great games this year that fell off quicker than they should've. Why anybody would buy the garbage that is Mortal Kombat 11 over Tekken 8 is beyond me.
@Gamer83 it's more popular. That's all there is to it. When something becomes popular and others have it, everyone else wants to have it, too, due to FOMO or whatever. Games like Hogwarts Legacy don't tend to be evergreen. But after it took off, it was easy to keep selling.
@Gamer83 Because maybe MK11 is on all platforms.
@Americansamurai1 free advertising
@KillerBoy definitely, really helped me in my decision to buy it lol
I think GTA V and MK8 deluxe are battling it out for most weeks spent in the top 10! 😂
"...how unimaginative most British buyers are". Stop pretending that the charts would not be similar in other Western countries.
I like how Hogwarts Legacy is already considered "regular bestseller".
Kudos to WB for that one.
Funny how MK11 is outselling MK1.
Though it's case of price cuts.
These games are not selling any copies in the UK. Pitiful sales.
@UltimateOtaku91 actual ownership is better for a game that one truly likes. So I can understand why it is doing well.
