Developer Sabotage Studio and iam8bit have teamed up to bring the beloved Sea of Stars to physical retail, and it's squeaked into a top 10 that's otherwise filled with the games you'd expect. Debuting at number 10, it's a pretty solid result for the delayed physical release of a small, throwback RPG, but obviously it'll struggle to really compete with what's above it.
EA Sports FC 24 is back at number one, knocking Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition down to second. Jumping up from eighth to third is Hogwarts Legacy, while The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is back in the top 10 at number seven with the current-gen Complete Edition. It sits just above WWE 2K24 at number eight.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical sales only).

Happy for sea of stars. Going to check it out at some point
Wow, good week for Team Red.
Stellar Blade finished on 13, after 2 in the previous week.

What the? The Sims for Rent? And the PS+ game of the Month in first place. Yeah, that makes sense. Good for Sea of Stars though!
These sales charts are crazy.
An incredible result for an utterly incredible game. Well deserved.
I've always wanted to play Sea of Stars, but never got around to it yet.
Eager for my copy of Sea of Stars to arrive, which should be pretty soon. Meanwhile, are we still waiting for Chained Echoes from First Press Games?
I don’t understand how EA Sports FC 24 is in the number one spot when it is free this month with PlayStation Plus. I mean don’t you need Plus to play the game online anyway?
Sea of Stars is so damn good
Sea of Stars is brilliant. A really fun platinum as well.
EA Sports FC 24 on top? Was this not one of the free games this months and if so, are UK gamers drunk or what?
@Stevemalkpus
I think you're probably overestimating how much the casuals who only buy EA FC, CoD etc. actually know about their system. Wouldn't be surprised if a large percentage are not even aware it's available on ps+
@RicebinBernacky They're probably aware, but this is the only game they'd spend money on most likely so they probably already owned it before it got added... Unless the game released day and date on there... Sony reminded me I hadn't claimed it yesterday, like I can't imagine a game I'd want to play less.
I had such a good time with sea of stars, as soon as I found out who it was made by I was on board (same with unicorn overlord) but the sound track is what I REALLY like about the game. A good soundtrack will stay with me much longer than the other parts of a game, it's weird
I'm 2/3 ish into this game and I'm a bit disappointed actually. Not a bad game at all and visuals are gorgeous, but it's not the jewel I've heard others talk about. Other than visuals I don't think it excels at any other aspect, but it is personal opinion. I find Chained Echoes to be much better generally.
Kinda felt the same with The Messenger where the NES section was superb, but once the meteoidvania mechanics were introduced I felt quality dropped significantly.
Anyway good to see this kind of games doing well.
