Metal: Hellsinger VR is another rhythm action game to add to PSVR2's collection, and it's not too far away now. This virtual reality version of the title is heading to Sony's headset in Fall 2024, meaning it's just a few months out.
As you can see in this announcement trailer from a couple of months ago, Metal: Hellsinger VR is essentially the same as its flat screen counterpart. You're tasked with slaying hordes of hellish demons with various weapons, but you must do so to the beat of the music of each stage. The game's soundtrack is made up entirely of metal music, with lead vocals provided by singers from System of a Down, Trivium, Arch Enemy, Lamb of God, and more.
It'll be interesting to see how well the gameplay from the original translates to VR. In theory it should work perfectly well, and the added depth and scale that virtual reality brings will no doubt heighten the experience. Are you interested in Metal: Hellsinger VR? Looks sick, ill be picking this one up
One for you @CaptD
This looks like an incredible way to play it, I'm in
@ThorsHammer
Looks sick indeed, for me maybe Puke-arama!
Awesome, 2 VR articles in 1 day! we are eating well fellow VR players I jest but it is good news and this looks great. Day one for me I think!
@Futureshark certainly, you'll need some sturdy VR legs for this one.
As a lover of metal, vr and rhythm games I just didn't think the base game was that good.
I'll give this a try but I don't have high hopes.
Rhythm games on PSVR2 are the absolute best. Beat Saber has become one of my most played games, Pistol Whip is incredibly satisfying and I just lost a kilo of sweat playing Beat the Beats. Synth Riders is also great.
Needless to say, I'm really looking forward to this one
@colonelkilgore
Cheers dude but I've already played this flat so unlikely to buy again, it is a good game though.
@naruball I love beat saber. How are the other ones you mentioned with reguards to motion sickness?
@Dobbos zero motion sickness. Just to give you some context, games in which you have to walk give me migraines. Even Astro Bot gave me motion sickness. But on rails shooters, like Pistol Whip, and Beat the Beats never did.
@naruball Thanks for the reply. I will give synth riders a go sometime in the future👍👍
@WhiteRabbit same here! It's hard to imagine anyone not liking it. Especially considering the variety of levels
