Update: As had leaked prior to Summer Game Fest, the upcoming Sonic X Shadow Generations will launch on 25th October for PS5 and PS4 – and there’ll be exclusive PlayStation content. “Players who buy the game on PlayStation will receive bonus extended prologue animations with never-before-seen deleted scenes,” publisher SEGA has announced.
Pre-orders will come with a Sonic Adventure skin, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will be available 72 hours early, and will include an additional Terios skin for Shadow, as well as more music and an extra level. You’ll also get a digital art book and soundtrack. The standard edition will cost $49.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition will retail for $59.99.
Original Article: With this year's Summer Game Fest hours away, it was almost inevitable that some of the show's announcements would leak early, considering the industry's leak-happy state. We knew Sonic X Shadow Generations was coming in Autumn, but now it seems the game's box art and release date, 25th October, have been published online.
Dealabs' reliable insider, Billbil-kun (operating under his phantom thief alter-ego, Arsène Lupin), broke this one, and the news swiftly gained traction online. The enhanced remaster will reportedly be released physically, and copies will cost $49.99.
Just yesterday, we learned that Dealabs' investigations had discovered that Concord, like Helldivers 2 before it, will require a PSN account to play on PC. The French-language outlet is clearly cooking; we'll have to wait and see what the rest of the day has in store for us.
Are you excited to see a release date for Sonic X Shadow Generations? How many more leaks do you predict before Summer Game Fest officially kicks off? Let us know in the comments section below.

This is a great one two punch with the film out in December. Well played Sega, you've come a long way since the Dreamcast era.
Hopefully it's a better port than sonic colors was.
I actually am pretty excited for this game. I loved Generations on the PS3, and all the Shadow stuff is going to make this a must-play.
I will stick to my backwards compatible version until this is dirt cheap.
Looking at the cover, it really looks like Sonic Generations on PS3.
@Anti-Matter is that a positive or a negative?
@Yousef-
I have Sonic Generations PS3 but I neglected the game as it was too hard for me to play Sonic games with high speed and quick response.
Looking at another Sonic games cover, it gave me mixed feeling, both curious to play and regret after playing for being suck at playing Sonic games.
Box art is really cool, really wished that Sega would have changed the name though.
RIP kids typing Sonic X Shadow into Google search.
@jamison1993
Thought it was a remaster and not a port?
$50 not bad I guess. Gotta think about getting it day one depends on how long shadows part is
Based off the name "Sonic X Shadow", I have the feeling that the exclusive content will be [REDACTED]
Excited to play it.
Loved Sonic Gen and i love Shadow so day 1 buy for sure.
don’t care about this trash; already have generations on PC that’s already a remaster . instead of making new sonic games sega just keeps going for the low hanging fruit rehashing and cashing in on peoples nostalgia and nothing more, how long has it been since frontiers ? i want the gamecube era of sonic back in terms of releases because they just kept dropping new sonic games back to back
also the fact that they keep ducking unleashed ******* me off , because they re-released colors instead of it.
@HotGoomba NastyGoomba !
@nomither6 Do you REALLY want them to remaster Unleashed, after what they did to Colors and Origins..? Just port it straight to PC and be done with it I'd say
@Maubari i didn’t say nothing about remastering unleashed & hope they don’t “remaster” it . it’s still the best boost game in the series & any remaster they do to it would be a downgrade
@nomither6 Yeah, true. Just a straight port would be rather welcome; I'd buy it a fourth time for sure haha (Already own it on Wii, PS3 and the Xbox..)
@Maubari hell yeah 🤘so do i. got it on ps3/360/wii & still play it from time to time . i love that game, the day levels are excellent
